Big Bang Auto // Grow #2

GanjaGecko On September 9th, the ladies came out of the soil. First, they went into small seedling pots, and on day 14, they were transplanted into 3.8L fabric pots. Unfortunately, that was a small mistake. Since they are autoflowers and their lifespan is limited, a few days were lost, and sadly, they already showed the first signs of sex on day 21. Until day 21, the light distance was 25cm and the lamp was set to 40% (20W). At the start of flowering, the lamp was dimmed to 60% (30W) and the distance was increased to 28cm. Day 35 / Day 14F (2 weeks into flowering) The ladies received a little lollipopping and then as a reward, a top dressing with 50% of the mix and 50% Plagron Megaworm, topped with 1 teaspoon of Plagron Batguano. The mix was 70% BioBizz Lightmix with 30% coco & perlite mix. For the 3.8L fabric pots, the mix was then combined with 20% Plagron Megaworm and a small pinch of Dynomyco mycorrhiza. Don't be surprised... the pH value was accidentally off. A pH of 6.5 was intended, but the pH meter was crap and showed 6.5. One lady showed signs of deficiency, which couldn't be right since both were cared for equally. That was the reason for a new pH meter. After that, it slowly normalized. But it definitely affected the growth a bit. Probably not in a good way :)

GanjaGecko On day 37, there was a very light mix of mineral fertilizer from Greenhouse. The idea was to provide the fertilizer directly to the ladies in a diluted form while the organic fertilizer is available in the soil and ready to kick in when the mineral one slowly stops working. Little spoiler... They had minimal signs of nutrient burn. Luckily, not too extreme. Apparently, there was enough organic fertilizer ready. After that, it stayed with the organic.

GanjaGecko 4 weeks flowering On day 46 (day 25F), the first SanlightQ1w dim was turned up to 100% (50W). The distance from the plant to the lamp was 37 cm. Due to slight over-fertilization, everything was adjusted a bit this week and slowly increased again. The ladies received about 300 to 400 ml every 3 days.

GanjaGecko In week 6 of flowering, the ladies were fertilized twice a week, and on the days in between, they were watered as needed. At the end of week 6, they were watered with a pH value of 7 because the pH in the soil was between 5.8 and 6.0. To bring the soil back towards 6.6-6.8, they were watered and fertilized for quite some time with a pH value of 7.

GanjaGecko In week 7, the ladies were still watered every 3 days with 350ml - 400ml at pH 7. The pH level in the soil is gradually rising and slowly heading towards 6.5. Green Sensation was split into two applications at 50% of the recommended dosage, so it reached 100% of the recommendation per week. On day 69 / day 48 of flowering, a small trichome check was done.

GanjaGecko In Woche 8 (Blüte) an Tag 53 Blüte (72 Gesamt) kam eine zweite Sanlight Q1w Dim in das Zelt, beide wurden auf jeweils 80% (2×40W) gedimmt. Sie würden leicht schräg aufgehangen so das das Licht sich kreuzt für eine höhere Lichtdichte, um das letzte bisschen rauszuholen. Beide bekamen jeden dritten Tag 350ml, davon zwei mal Mit Dünger.

GanjaGecko For the 9th week of flowering (Day 77/56F), the two ladies received their last feeding of 350ml of nutrient solution each and will only be watered with pH 6.8-7 from then on. The soil can handle this, as it is around 6.5. The target is 6.5 - 6.8. On Day 79/58F, each lady got 300ml of water with a pH of 6.9. On Day 81/60F, they received 300ml of water at pH 6.5. On Day 83/62F, each lady got 100ml of water at pH 6.8. A few last trichome checks to see if the ladies are ready. On Day 84 (12 weeks)/63F (9 weeks Flower), the ladies received light for the last time and then were left in the dark for 48 hours before being hung up.

GanjaGecko Overall, everything went wonderfully. Just had a little pH issue in between, but that was due to a faulty pH meter. The device has been replaced and should be a problem of the past. You learn a little bit more each time.
