The Case of the Overdosing Indica: Act II - Week 5, Sunshine Serenade (and Where's the Bloom?)
Brandenburg's been putting on a show this week, sunshine brighter than a gold tooth in a blackout. Auto Overdose, bless her green heart, is lapping it all up. The cramped pot feels like a relic from a bygone era – this dame's a skyscraper now, broad Indica leaves reaching for the sky like a dame with a million-dollar view.
One thing's missing, though. No sign of those sweet, sticky flowers yet. Starting to wonder if this dame's playing hard to get, or maybe the sunshine's got her a little too relaxed. Patience, they say, is a virtue. But this detective's getting antsy. Stay tuned, folks, the plot thickens like smoke in a crowded club.
Week 10: No flower (see pics).
Growth is great – shot up 20cm this week!
But still no sign of flowering. Starting to think this "auto" label is unreliable.
Can I do anything to force flower?
Limitation:
- outdoor grow
- weekend visits only
- no indoor irrigation
Hello SubliminalSociety,
Your plant is pre flowering already. She will start showing her white pistils and bud forming soon.
And no there is nothing you can do to trigger the flowering phase. The only thing you can do is making sure that the plant does get 12 hours darkness in a tent for example.
But I would say, let it go, let it grow, you are doing great so far!
Happy Growing! 💚
You can always force flowering by putting her in the dark for 12 hours a night for a couple of weeks to initiate flowering. That might be better than waiting, depending on your latitude, and how your investigation is going. Good luck.
@Northern_Ent, Interesting. I have nothing with complete darkness but could put her in the garage for two days while I'm there. Yeah, autumn tends to get very wet, so I was baking on my autos to deliver by mid-August. I'll give it a go. Thank you!!
Congrats on the successful germination 🌲 hope the rest of your grow is trouble free. I’m sure as soon as she is used to her new home she will explode into growth 💪
