The Case of the Overdosing Indica: Act II - Week 9, The Plot Thickens (Like Smoke in a Speakeasy)
Brandenburg's been a scorcher this week, thermometer pushing 25C like a dame with a hot tip. Imagine my surprise when Auto Overdose, bless her stubborn heart, decided to pick up the pace. Grew almost 10cm in a single week – seems this dame don't play by the usual rules.
Had to give her the full Hollywood treatment this week. Leaves and shoots multiplying like rumours in a crowded bar, so I did some defoliating and mainlining. Think of it as a dame getting a makeover, focusing on her best features – those thick, strong branches that are gonna hold the real fireworks.
But here's the rub, folks. Still no sign of those flowers. Starting to wonder if this dame's got a genetic stutter, or maybe this "auto" thing is just a tall tale spun by some two-bit seed salesman. Is this some kind of long con?
Stay tuned, folks, the plot's getting thicker than the smoke in a backroom poker game, and the stakes are gettin' higher than yours truly with some Gelato in the sun.
Week 10: No flower (see pics).
Growth is great – shot up 20cm this week!
But still no sign of flowering. Starting to think this "auto" label is unreliable.
Can I do anything to force flower?
Limitation:
- outdoor grow
- weekend visits only
- no indoor irrigation
Hello SubliminalSociety,
Your plant is pre flowering already. She will start showing her white pistils and bud forming soon.
And no there is nothing you can do to trigger the flowering phase. The only thing you can do is making sure that the plant does get 12 hours darkness in a tent for example.
But I would say, let it go, let it grow, you are doing great so far!
Happy Growing! 💚
You can always force flowering by putting her in the dark for 12 hours a night for a couple of weeks to initiate flowering. That might be better than waiting, depending on your latitude, and how your investigation is going. Good luck.
@Northern_Ent, Interesting. I have nothing with complete darkness but could put her in the garage for two days while I'm there. Yeah, autumn tends to get very wet, so I was baking on my autos to deliver by mid-August. I'll give it a go. Thank you!!
Congrats on the successful germination 🌲 hope the rest of your grow is trouble free. I’m sure as soon as she is used to her new home she will explode into growth 💪
