Grow Log – Week 4
Day 22 – 24: Nutrients Kicking In
Week 4 started off with a bang. The plants were responding really well to the BioGrow and Calmag nutrients, growing vigorously in all directions. The topping from last week paid off big time, with the plants looking bushier and fuller. They were thriving, and the leaves were a deep, healthy green, showing that they were loving their new home and the nutrient regimen.
Day 23: First Defoliation
On day 23, it was time for a little defoliation. I removed some of the larger leaves to allow more light to penetrate to the lower parts of the plants. This helps improve airflow and light distribution, promoting better overall growth. The plants took the defoliation in stride, and it was clear they were strong and resilient.
Day 25 – 26: Continued Growth and Second Defoliation
By day 26, the plants had continued to shoot up and out, filling their space with lush foliage. It was time for another round of defoliation. Once again, I removed some of the larger fan leaves to keep the plants from getting too crowded and to ensure light reached all the developing nodes. The plants were looking fantastic, with new growth constantly emerging.
Day 27 – 28: Prepping for Flowering
As the week came to a close, it was clear the plants were getting ready to start flowering. They were robust, with thick stems and plenty of growth points. The nutrient regimen was dialed in perfectly, and the plants were showing no signs of nutrient burn or deficiencies. They were just healthy, vigorous, and ready for the next stage.
Overall Progress
Week 4 was a major success. The plants handled the nutrients like champs and showed explosive growth in all directions. The topping had created a bushy structure, perfect for maximizing yields, and the defoliation sessions helped keep the canopy open and light accessible to all parts of the plants.
I’m super stoked to see how these plants transition into the flowering phase. They’ve shown incredible resilience and growth so far, and I’m confident that with continued care, they’ll produce some amazing buds. This Sunset Sherbet grow is on track to be something special, and I can’t wait to see what the next weeks bring.
aSeems like you filled your canopy nice with the amount of plants you have. i wouldn't worry to much about topping. i mainly do because Iim doing big plants to keep my plant count down, but if you can fill a tent with smaller plants.thatis the better/quicker way. i honestly would not even top plants if you say got a bunch of nice clones and packed them close enough
