Grow Log – Week 6
Day 36 – 38: Settling into Flowering
Week 6 started off with the plants firmly in the flowering phase. They were adjusting well, with buds continuing to develop and expand. The environment was stable, but I knew we could make it even better for the upcoming weeks.
Day 37: Climate Control Upgrade
On day 37, I installed a climate control unit to better manage temperature and humidity. This was a game-changer, as it allowed for more precise control over the growing conditions, ensuring the plants had the optimal environment to thrive in the critical flowering phase.
Day 39: Pruning and Addressing Yellow Leaves
By day 39, it was time to tackle the yellow leaves and some of the larger fan leaves that were shading the lower buds. I carefully pruned the yellowing leaves and removed some of the bigger leaves to improve light penetration and airflow throughout the canopy. The plants handled the pruning well, and it opened up space for better bud development.
Day 40 – 41: Steady Growth and Bud Development
Following the pruning, the plants continued to grow steadily. The climate control unit was making a noticeable difference, maintaining perfect conditions and allowing the plants to focus on bud production. The pruning also seemed to have a positive effect, as the lower buds started getting more light and developing faster.
Day 42: A Sea of Buds
By the end of the week, on day 42, the transformation was incredible. What stood before me was a sea of buds, all reaching up towards the light. The plants looked vibrant and healthy, with the buds swelling and becoming more defined each day. The careful management of climate and pruning had paid off, creating an ideal environment for flowering.
Overall Progress
Week 6 was a major milestone in the grow. The first week of flowering was successfully navigated, and the installation of the climate control unit set the stage for optimal growth. Pruning the yellow and larger leaves improved light distribution and airflow, which significantly boosted bud development.
Looking ahead, I’m excited to see how the buds continue to bulk up and mature. The plants are in a strong position, and with continued care and precise environmental control, this Sunset Sherbet grow is on track to produce some top-quality buds. The sight of a thriving canopy full of buds is a testament to the hard work and attention to detail in the early stages.
aSeems like you filled your canopy nice with the amount of plants you have. i wouldn't worry to much about topping. i mainly do because Iim doing big plants to keep my plant count down, but if you can fill a tent with smaller plants.thatis the better/quicker way. i honestly would not even top plants if you say got a bunch of nice clones and packed them close enough
