Is she ready for Beastie Bloomz or should I continue with Open Sesame for another week until flowers are more developed?👊

It isn't a matter if it's ready or not. That's a PK booster. Does your plant look like it's deficient on phosphorous or potassium? Besides your EC/PPM is quite high already, if you add this other fertilizer you will risk burning the plants.

Week 5 flower just flushed and straighten out tree a little. The budlets are forming many long white hairs and the foliage shows no sign of slowing. Will need to see how everything goes down this week because this should be bud building time to get those big colas. In the past I have only had miniature buds from grow tent and never really followed the ff schedule keeping it in line with what the plant is doing. Before I would just go week by week and spend a few extra weeks at the end letting it mature. I will post more photos this week as the plant progresses through the flowering phase. This week I will keep the EC low at 1.5 to start with inside reservoir with 2.65 gallons in DWC with air stone.👊 The EC went up from yesterday to 1.7 after refill of RO water. Diluted solution to an EC of 1.5 again and added 1 tsp of Bembe for microbe food that contains black strap molasses and am trying to get the hang of giving the carbo load. I have notice that there really is no specified frequency of supplemental feedings for Bembe. Given that the EC is stable at 1.5 I added 10mL of URB & Bembe. Then I began to notice the flowers pointing up. URB is microbe rich and Bembe contain Black Strap Molasses and different sugars. Never really pushed the limits with Bembe and I already know that URB kicks ass! Lets keep an eye on the progression over night and give it time to react. Bembe may be a weak solution and may be worth considering adding frequently for microbe food and accelerated growth. Wednesday: refilled water, noticed that the root mass has doubled this week and trimmed the bush. The last trim was 10 days ago and it looked like a bonsai tree. I have been playing with the notion that microbes are the driving force behind growth and bud production. So, to I added Microbe Brew and more Bembe. Thursday: going to foiler spray Flowers Kiss with the intent to reduce any possible stress from the trim and promote healing with new growth. I can tell that there is a little shock after the trim but has rebounded well. I added more URB and am interested to see if I can get more root growth. So far, the buds are forming and they are dense. I feel like this is the right track.

Flowers are beginning to build in the calyx's and there are lots of hairs turning orange with trichomes present. Have to remember that this is an Indica dominant strain. Next week we will flush and then see what Cha Ching will do.😀 Replaced 0.25 gallon water pH down at 5.4 then corrected to 5.9 with intent for pH stable 5.5 in 1 more day. With the water level elevated into grow pot the pH is dropping again to 5.2 following a 24 hour period. I do all of this by hand with meters and Advanced Nutrients pH up and down. So the pH shift is not corrected until usually the following day. Would really like to get the Bluelab pH controller for automatic pH correction; it will not happen this grow. Brought the pH back up and added Hygrozyme for the first time in flower. Then I gave it a much needed trim. You can see that the trichomes are just starting to appear like a gentle frost. Added URB and B52 into res with rain water. It looks like it likes the taste, the way that nature intended. Already topped off res twice with rain water. Noticeable improvement after Hygrozyme addition yesterday, lookin clean. May have had slight Cal mag deficiency early this week. I feel really proud how of how much development happened this week. The pH was really low at 5.1 with EC 2.2 added more rain water. Not much happened over night; roots look clean and added water and may have let light inside the tent. It was drinking a lot of that water.

Week 9 of the FF hydro schedule: this time I refer to the schedule recommendations as maximum values and target 1.8 to 2.1 EC. This resulted in twice as much water consumption compared to days past and the flowers are looking bigger and frostier with each passing night. The supplements are at full strength and the fertilizers are half strength. Made the edition of Mother Earth Sugar Load and Primordial Solutions Sea Green. Changed reservoir with fresh solution being that it stopped foaming at this point from yesterday. Just one day includes addition of Mother Earth Sugar Load-made lots of foam initially then subsided. Considering lowering the flow a bit and reduce solution loss. So the change was at Fert strength at half again and including a touch of Sea Green. Next week, ff schedule wk9 and this time a little less than half the dose fo Cha Ching. The lights were lowered to about 14 inches and may increase air flow. Recalculation: Leafly says that this strain has a flowering period of 7-9 weeks and she is beginning week 8 of flower. With that being said, this will be the final week of nutrients as they will go directly into a flushing period to get rid of all of the stored BRIXX and shift the energy to the flowers. In the upcoming week I will be watching the trichomes closely as they are all milky. If I see more trichomes changing to amber I may begin the flush as early as midweek for a goal of either a 4-10 day flush with Flawless Finish. Finally, I catch a mistake before it happens! This is soo different than a soil grow or and outdoor grow.

This week began with the ff wk 9 feeding and was switched mid-week to flush with Flawless Finish. The roots are still dark from the Sugar Load. Much like there is a layer of tar that I hope is beneficial. As you can see, trichomes are maturing. Although, not ready for harvest some amber trichomes can be seen. All of the fan leaves have been cut and there is only sugar leaves with a leaf that may be a fan leaf showing rust spots as it may be from a potassium deficiency due to the flushing process. She is living off of her own reserves now. Reflecting back, I have enjoyed this grow and have a few ideas for improvements. What I want to do is just check up on it from time to time and have things run smooth in my absence. That costs too much for now and I picked up another hydro bucket for $45. If all goes well I would like to grow a sea of green with a scrog net. The roots look like they have algae growth all over them. Will try hydrogen peroxide. At the end of the week I gave it some hydrogen peroxide followed by a full dose of URB Natural and Flawless Finish. Now she has been cut: thus the move on to a new chapter. I can't wait to see what she will look like when she is ready for curing. The scent is really potent and the growth left on the plant has a frost all over it. Tips of sugar leaves are purple. Dark period of 22 hours prior to cut. Tomorrow will be the 5th day of drying. The last that I seen it was on day 3: the stalk was shrinking as it dries. It is drying at a slow rate and is about 1/3rd smaller due to drying effect.

Using GH Waterfarm with air bubbler in res: plant consumed EC of 2.1 down to 1.4 overnight with Mother Earths Sugar Load. I have bio film on roots now and am flushing with Flawless Finish, Hygrozyme and URB Natural. How can I feed the microbes & protect roots & was EC drop good?

The Ec drop can't be a bad thing , it means your plant is using a lot of nutrients to achieve flowering and to produce buds so I would just adjusts it was time the plant is eating. About how to feed microbs : idk 😊

Week 8. Harvest

Happy Harvest Day!

This is a potent strain that was a pleasure growing. In hydro, it responded well with the food that it was given and had even more potential to flourish given that growth was stunted by the cold temperatures at night. Strain effects are Indica dominant giving it a relaxed muscular benefit providing much needed relief to over worked sore areas of the body. A sativa blend hybrid, released a gentle disposition of thoughts. This heavy hitter left residual effects of forgetfulness for weeks to come.👊

Very pungent smell prior to cure. Stored in C-vault for curing. Not bad for minimum veg time from a clone. This grow taught me about problems with algae as it impacted harvest and what role cold temperatures play in the growth and development. Green smoke, had a little bit of the energetic uplifting effect. Certainly an unlocking creativity effect, allowing for a continuous flow. Is wet and may have dampened the sweetness. Indica effect is strong and satisfying to an overworked body. Long lasting relaxation put me down for half the day and felt a residual effect of forgetfulness for a couple of weeks. Overall, highly recommended if you are going on a vacation or need time to heal as this strain will help your body get the rest that it needs to recover and overpowers anxiety. This has potential to help!0000

Nice looking harvest, especially for your first time on hydro. Congrats! :D

hey there casebone the drop in the EC is due to the flushing nutrients and that's normal and to be expected. Dont worry about it, what's the point of the flush except to reduce PPMs of the solution and the nutrients in the plant right? bad news is the microbes also go down and die so dont bother mixing them with the flawles finish. Hope i answered your question ! congrats on the great grow and harvest ! 👊

You got 850 g off of the 1 plant! That's some seriously crazy growing! Good luck on dotm.✌️

@Casebone, awe...that would have been seriously bad ass! Yea i noticed a few glitchy things on here too where my figures got changed up. Regardless of yield great job on the grow, turned out beautifully. ✌️

@Experimentgreen, Thanks for pointing that out! I got 31 Grams off of the 1 plant. Nice dense and sticky nuggets. Yeah, that would be some crazy stuff to get 850 grams. It is a type o that I change every time I log on but it never shows the correct weight. Must have been a glitch in the software, it is changed to the correct weight now.😎

@Casebone, as long as there is no deficiency, there's no need for increasing the feeding strength
Casebone
Casebonecommented6 years ago
@@@Athos, no deficiencies that I can see. It is not doing much compared to last week when it brought the EC down to 1.4 overnight. Next weeks will be a leaner solution and EC I can shoot for 1.6?

She is finally cut and will give it about one week to dry. Tomorrow will be day 5 of drying; the last time I checked up was day 3 and the stalk was shrinking as it dries. When ready, they will go into a c-vault with a 62% humidity packet.

Quite a bit of what I believe to be algae. The leave and buds look fantastic for their small sizes. First thing was to change the res and replace with hose water with the addition of hydrogen peroxide at a rate of 3tsp/gal. Roots look like they are coated with a brown film over the roots. Once they are clean I will continue flush with Flawless Finish. Despite the buildup on the roots the plant is showing no signs of weakness.-Update: the dark film never disappeared!

The flush is started and better sooner than later. This solution was made with RO water: a few drops of Sledgehammer; URB Natural; Hygrozyme and Flawless Finish. This will be the final 4 to 10 days prior to harvest. It should time out just right with the trichome maturity. Strongly considering a final extended dark period for the final finish. All of the largest fan leaves were trimmed off. Now the focus is on the remaining dense foliage and the flowers.

My little nugs are getting plump. I could feel density in them a few weeks ago. Overall, I don't think that it will be a whole lot once she is dried out. Keep in mind that she is not done yet and there is still the flushing period with flawless finish. I think that I am ready to begin the flush tomorrow. Even though I want the best results that I can possibly get; I am still learning my grow technique as I am getting a feel for how to handle the flowering phase. I can totally tell that the Sugar Load gave the plant a nice nutrition boost as the EC dropped like over night. Not much water consumption yesterday, so I added Hygrozyme just to clean up the roots prior to the flush.

Opened up tent and the smell was so sweet! It was time to refill the DWC bucket so today I added Sugar Load High Brixx Molasses and a little bit of Sea green. Lots of foam and the EC jumped to 2.1 from 1.8. I do not think that I will change the solution because it is maintaining the EC very well. Will re-evaluate at end of grow week to see if the Sugar Load increases the consumption of nutrients.

Besides, come to find out that the grow schedule is for a 1000 watt system. I have a Cobb 600 watt and two 180 watt ufo's. The roots are not really massing up, still trying to feed the microbes. I think that it grows better with a higher water level but the root mass must be inside the hydro ton. LED's are like lasers, they beam straight and the Cobb LED seems to spread the light more evenly.
Casebone
Casebonecommentedweek 56 years ago
Essentially, the answer to my question may have been not to over feed as the EC is stable and to feed the microbe population giving URB a boost. I am going to try doing intermittent microbe feedings to bring out the potential of URB. URB as I know from previous soil grows really invigorates plant growth to an extreme .👊

Bembe and Microbe Brew contain Molasses. It may not have enough kick and may have to go with Blackstrap Molasses. Any ideas?
