D33jW 🌱 Runtz - Week 2 Update 🌱 The second week of growth is well underway, and so far, the Runtz seedlings are showing great potential, despite a small hiccup earlier in the week. 🌿 This week started with a bit of a scare when I noticed something unusual with my Root Juice fertilizer—it had gone bad, with white spots floating inside, resembling mold. I had already applied it a few times during the first week, which led to some concerns about the soil's health. I took quick action by removing the top layer of the soil and replacing it with fresh soil mixed with mycorrhiza. To combat any lingering issues, I watered the plants with a solution of Clean Soil and Cannazym to cleanse the medium and support root health. Thankfully, the Runtz plants didn’t seem to be affected negatively—they’ve maintained steady growth and appear happy and healthy! It’s a relief to see their resilience. Looking forward to wrapping up Week 2 with bigger, stronger plants and setting the stage for explosive growth in the coming weeks! I can already see the first signs of fading, which tells me it's hungry for more nutrients. Everything is progressing smoothly, and I’m really happy with how it looks at this stage. For the last feeding, I gave it Plagron Terra Bloom with an EC of around 1.3. The plan moving forward is to maintain stable conditions around 1.2 VPD until the first signs of frost appear on the buds. Regular feeding will continue, keeping EC above 1.0 to support healthy flower development. As for trichome production, it could be a bit heavier, but I’m patiently waiting – Runtz still has time to show its full potential. Watering is done every two days, with around 1L of water mixed with nutrients. This week, I started adding Green Sensation in low doses to fully meet the plant’s phosphorus and potassium needs, which are essential for the flowering stage. The soil condition is perfect, as Runtz is drinking a full liter of nutrient solution daily. This week, I’ve also started feeding the full dose of Green Sensation to maximize resin production and overall bud density. Now, it's all about watching this beauty mature. The dry weather outside is working in my favor, allowing me to bring down humidity to as low as 50%, creating perfect conditions for resin production. The main cola keeps getting thicker every day, and I’m loving how this genetic develops! This is my first time using Green Sensation, and I have to say - this product is amazing. Everything is thriving, and I couldn't be happier with the progress. Night temps have been lowered to 16°C, and Runtz responded beautifully with deep purple hues on the leaves. Now, I’m waiting for those autumn colors to fully set in. I also removed some upper fan leaves to improve light penetration to the lower buds. Now, it’s all about patience - the trichomes are stacking up beautifully, and I’m waiting for this perfect moment the trichomes to mature a bit more. The buds are glistening with resin, completely covered in frost, while the terpenes are reaching their peak. The aroma is evolving, intensifying into a rich, candy-like what makes Runtz so special. This strain truly delivers both quality and yield, showcasing an incredible balance of dense flowers and insane trichome production. The final moment is almost here - the next update will be during the drying phase. D33jW RUNTZ PHENO#2 Update (Week 7 Flowering) While documenting RUNTZ PHENO#1 I’ve also been growing RUNTZ PHENO#2 in parallel in box 80x80. Until now, I haven’t shared any updates on this pheno, mainly because it had a slower start due to weak, expired organic nutrients in the early stages. As a result, it lagged behind by about two weeks. Now that RUNTZ #1 from my 50x50 tent is almost finished, I can finally shift my focus to RUNTZ #2 in the 80x80 tent. This plant is thriving and has fully recovered, developing into a stunning example of organic cultivation using BAC nutrients. With approximately 2-3 weeks left until harvest, the plant is showing exceptional health and resin production. This will be an interesting comparison to RUNTZ #1, which was grown with mineral nutrients. Aromas are becoming sweeter and more intense each day, with that classic Runtz candy vibe starting to pop. The medium is now being flushed with plain water + a bit of Canna Flush to remove any residual nutrients and ensure clean, smooth smoke. Just one more week and this organic beauty will be ready for harvest. It’s been a longer journey due to early feeding issues, but this pheno bounced back strong. D33jW Harvest Update – RUNTZ Both RUNTZ phenos have been harvested, officially bringing this incredible journey to the end. It was a grow full of satisfaction, learning, and beautiful results. I’m truly impressed with the genetics from Zamesia both plants delivered super dense, frosty buds with an absolutely insane sweet and candy-like aroma. The terpene profile on these girls is just mouthwatering and promises a top-tier experience in the vaporizer. Solid, rock-hard nugs on both phenos this strain really lives up to the hype! Special shoutout to Plagron and their product Green Sensation – it worked wonders, especially in the final stages.
