Grow Specs:
Strains: Gold Glue (Illuminauto #24), Northern Cheese Haze x Sour Hound
Nicknames: GG1/2 = Gold Glue 1/2, CCD (Chilly Cheese Dog), NCHS = Northern Cheese Haze x Sour Hound
Gold Glue Info: 24 Carat x GGG4, Indica/Sativa - 80/20, 65-70 days est.
Breeder: Mephisto Genetics
Total number of plants: 3
Update schedule: I usually send out updates every Saturday or Sunday.
Grow Schedule to Date:
Sprout (all): 9/7/17
Age (all): Day 65 as of 11/11/17
Updates and Observations:
Heights:
GG1 - 12"
GG2 - 10.5"
NCHS - 17.5"
Growth/Training/Lights:
- Starting to smell kind of like dirty feet and a slight cheesy odor in the tent and I think that is thanks to the Chilly Cheese Dog! 😵 Cannot wait to cut her down!
- CCD is still swelling up and flushing out nicely! I am guessing she is coming down next weekend so that is pretty awesome.
- So my plan for this week and the CCD is to decide when to chop her (most likely Fri/Sat), move her to my smaller drying tent, remove all fan leaves 48 hours before chop, give her 48 hours of darkness, chop the whole plant at the base of the stem, hang it for 7-10 days to dry at ~50% RH, dry trim, put into MyPharmJars jars to cure at 58-65% RH indefinitely until smoked.
- GGs smell like a strange sweet smell that is hard to describe but most likely have another 2 weeks or so. I refuse to harvest a green plant anymore and they are dark still so we will see!
Waterings/Feedings:
- Flushing until I see about 5-15% amber trichomes and a plant that looks like the end of fall. No green except for bud!
- Using Flawless Finish on GG1 and CCD, but just giving plain water to GG2.
- GG1 and NCHS has been receiving my normal line up of AN products and GG2 is receiving the full line from BioBizz as directed on their website.
Big shout out to my friend @meibabies on Instagram and happy growing out there!
@Grimbol, still good information output, I will use it soon in my garden so we'll compare results in different variables. I'm curious on how fast they'll loose color...
@CaciqueCayacoa,
Sure thing man. I might have changed too many variables though to judge taste though like different seeds, different nutrients, you know. I will be able to judge flush speed though I think.
Beautiful job growing these buddy. You should be extremely proud of all the hard work you have put in. I can't wait to see another grow from you soon. Cheers!
Nice lookin plants G - l just started a diary myself with 3 ccd though theyre nearly 7 wk old cant wait to hear your take on em(smokewise!) as well as the GG as lve got some waitin to go
@Rouge,
Heck yeah! I usually take a bit before I post a true smoke report. I like about a month cure but we will have to compare notes!
The gold glues are pretty rad and I would say so, so perfect for a grower with limited vertical space but if you have some space they might not quite be worth it IMO. I have not seen one finish out above 13-15 inches I think. Mine are 10 and 11" I think. Hopefully the smoke worth the smaller crop size.
Good luck out there and thanks for stopping by!
@JieGrow,
Haha I know right! I was initially super excited about the Gold Glue (and of course I still am) but I am just blown away by the structure and potential from the NCHSH. Thanks for tuning in! Glad to have you. 👊
Yeah I have seen a couple but everything I have seen so far has been pretty tiny haha. Some guy just harvested a 5.12" plant supposedly but he pulled 1.75 oz dry off it. Crazy! I hope mine eventually stack up like that because they are kind of slow right now. I will head over and check your diary right now.
Thanks for stopping by!
Ya want to go with the Mammoth P to get that flop at the end! I would recommend starting at .5 ml per gallon and go up from there it can burn your tips. But def worth it. Just go up to 1 ml per gal. Then cut it out when you flush about a week before harvest.
@AlaskanGrownCaliRaised,
I was looking at a recipe that didn't have anything living in it other than beneficial bacteria and fungi. Check out "kind soil" on amazon maybe if you were interested.
@Grimbol, I would love to use a super soil and not have to add bottled nutrients but I can't stand the thought of bugs and creepy crawlers inside, good for outdoor though.
@AlaskanGrownCaliRaised,
Damn yeah aleoght I might look into that. I was thinking about trying to go just straight up no till and use super soil from one of sub cools recipes or kind soil. You ever heard of it? Supposedly grows some tasty fruit.
Let the swell begin! 💪 looks like great color. Super interested in the difference in smoothness between AN and Bio. You going to flush the “organic” bio like you would AN or no?
@AlaskanGrownCaliRaised,
Yeah I was going to look into either no till organics and go back to photos or maybe try and tweak and come up with my own soil recipe that works for autos. Veg+Bloom is also wicked cheap because you aren't paying for water weight and it is easy to use. One of my favorite growers uses that too with some fire results.
My goal right now is to make this as simple and cost effective as possible to grow for myself without using super expensive nutes. I think when I was new I just bought into the hype of AN but I want to try to get away from bottled nutrients and try to figure this plant out a little better. I just budgeted out a batch of super soil for like 150$ and that will last me about a year growing some beast meds. The only thing I have to replace often is earthworm castings and base soil.
Anyway, best of luck! Your grows are looking good. Can't wait to see some smoke/harvest reports!
@Grimbol, Sounds like a good plan. I just heard that one of the 2 owners of AN was taken to court for stuff with a kid... I would stay far away from AN. I’ve heard good thing about Remo and Emerald.
@AlaskanGrownCaliRaised,
Yeah so now I’ve had the chance to try 5 day flush, 3 day flush, and no flush so this time I’m going for a long one to see if I can see those pretty fall colors I see everywhere. I’m going to flush the AN ones with flawless finish but idk if I should do it to the organic plant. I think for science I’ll just use plain water on that plant. See if I can tell any difference between AN and not. I’m probably going to switch up off AN I’m starting to think they are not really worth the cash.
Beautiful training you have here on this lovely auto garden. I can't wait to watch her flower in the coming day. Best wishes growing this awesome strain :D
