Grow Specs: Strains: Chilly Cheese Dog (Northern Cheese Haze x Sour Hound) Nicknames: CCD, NCHS Breeder: Mephisto Genetics Grow Schedule to Date: Sprout (all): 9/7/17 Age (all): Day 72 as of 11/18/17 Updates and Observations: Height: CCD - 17.5" Everything I said in the other harvest report about Mephisto holds true for this plant as well. The GGs were pretty cool but this CCD is one of the prettiest plants I have ever grown. The main cola is over 4" in diameter and the side colas are all almost as large. The smell is very powerful, and smells a bit like feet but in a good way haha. Like feet with some cheese between the toes haha. I love it! Smoke Report: It has been about a month and a half of curing. The effect of the CCD is very sedating and a great relaxing herb for the end of the day. It is a very heavy body high that lasts a few hours. It messes with my speech at first which is strange. It is hard to explain but it just jumbles me up. Overall a great strain and I would definitely grow it again. Thanks Mephisto! Happy growing everyone!

Reviews. Nutrient
You wont catch me growing without it. Improves root mass and overall plant health for sure. Also big shout out to The Dude Grows and Scotty. Love the podcast.
Great nutrient line, no doubt about it but I am giving the line 3 out of 5 stars because the appearance of the plant is no more frosty or smelly than the BioBizz plant. It does have a slight weight advantage but for how much more AN costs, the margin should be much wider to make it worth using to me. My AN plant only produced about 10g more than my Biobizz plant for how many more bottles and time? Many, if not all of the BioBizz plants are also derived from clean, often plant nutrient sources and organic which is a plus to me. If you are willing to spend the money you will get some big buds though but I am more concerned with taste and effect than weight growing for myself. Flawless finish seems to work because my AN plant flushed out much quicker than the BB plant.
I am going to give this line a 4 out of 5 because it grew a very strong plant but I did have issues with borderline nitrogen toxicity. It kept up with the Advanced Nutrients line and though it might not have yielded as much, It is a very tasty smoke. It smells a bit different than the AN plant but is just as frosty and more stinky.
Fantastic product. I have run it in trials and there was an extremely noticeable difference. I do not know if I will continue to use it however because I will be switching to no till organics.

The next frontier for me will be bottle free if I can. I want to try out no till organic growing. For some reason that style just really seems like it would compliment the way I like to treat these plants. Over the past several weeks I have learned so much about Cannabis by studying all the different available elements/how they are used, the soil food web, garden products, etc. I will not be that guy who says one method is better than the other. My favorite part of this hobby is that it is so versatile and can be changed to suit any need from a 5 gallon bucket to a 12' tree. It is all about finding what works best for you and what you enjoy. My goal moving forward is to grow the highest quality medicine (subjective) for myself with the least amount of maintenance effort required, for as cheap as possible. My plan is to buy a commercial grade ~1000W LED, dial in super soil (costs pennies on the dollar to make only plain water needed), and automate my environment to optimum levels which should then allow me to produce quality medicine and reach my goal. My next grow will not be for a long time unfortunately but hopefully not too long! I am most likely going to grow some CBD strains and some of the new Mephisto Lines as well! This one felt really good to pull off. I had some seriously rough grows these last few times around and I have learned a lot of very valuable lessons that I will not forget. Thanks to everyone who tuned in along the way. This is an awesome community, website, and I love posting my updates every week. Big shout out to my boy El Don โœŠ, @Kronickobe, @Alaskangrowncaliraised, @Thefairybudmother, @B4RNS, @Meibabies, @Mephistogenetics, and of course @Growdiaries! Cheers! -G

@Grimbol,pantyhose arenโ€™t watertight! But it does keep soil from coming out of the holes in the airpots.

@TheFairyBudMother, Wow! I will have to try that! Does it help with the water leaking?

@Grimbol, I have a tip I just learned from @GardenofAutos. She pulled pantyhose up around her airpots. No more soil mess!!!

@Grimbol, still good information output, I will use it soon in my garden so we'll compare results in different variables. I'm curious on how fast they'll loose color...
GrimbolTheDruid
GrimbolTheDruid
@CaciqueCayacoa, Sure thing man. I might have changed too many variables though to judge taste though like different seeds, different nutrients, you know. I will be able to judge flush speed though I think.

Nice lookin plants G - l just started a diary myself with 3 ccd though theyre nearly 7 wk old cant wait to hear your take on em(smokewise!) as well as the GG as lve got some waitin to go
GrimbolTheDruid
GrimbolTheDruid
@Rouge, Heck yeah! I usually take a bit before I post a true smoke report. I like about a month cure but we will have to compare notes! The gold glues are pretty rad and I would say so, so perfect for a grower with limited vertical space but if you have some space they might not quite be worth it IMO. I have not seen one finish out above 13-15 inches I think. Mine are 10 and 11" I think. Hopefully the smoke worth the smaller crop size. Good luck out there and thanks for stopping by!

Yeah I have seen a couple but everything I have seen so far has been pretty tiny haha. Some guy just harvested a 5.12" plant supposedly but he pulled 1.75 oz dry off it. Crazy! I hope mine eventually stack up like that because they are kind of slow right now. I will head over and check your diary right now. Thanks for stopping by!

Ya want to go with the Mammoth P to get that flop at the end! I would recommend starting at .5 ml per gallon and go up from there it can burn your tips. But def worth it. Just go up to 1 ml per gal. Then cut it out when you flush about a week before harvest.

@AlaskanGrownCaliRaised, I was looking at a recipe that didn't have anything living in it other than beneficial bacteria and fungi. Check out "kind soil" on amazon maybe if you were interested.
CaliGrown
CaliGrown
@Grimbol, I would love to use a super soil and not have to add bottled nutrients but I can't stand the thought of bugs and creepy crawlers inside, good for outdoor though.
GrimbolTheDruid
GrimbolTheDruid
@AlaskanGrownCaliRaised, Damn yeah aleoght I might look into that. I was thinking about trying to go just straight up no till and use super soil from one of sub cools recipes or kind soil. You ever heard of it? Supposedly grows some tasty fruit.

Let the swell begin! ๐Ÿ’ช looks like great color. Super interested in the difference in smoothness between AN and Bio. You going to flush the โ€œorganicโ€ bio like you would AN or no?
GrimbolTheDruid
GrimbolTheDruid
@AlaskanGrownCaliRaised, Yeah I was going to look into either no till organics and go back to photos or maybe try and tweak and come up with my own soil recipe that works for autos. Veg+Bloom is also wicked cheap because you aren't paying for water weight and it is easy to use. One of my favorite growers uses that too with some fire results. My goal right now is to make this as simple and cost effective as possible to grow for myself without using super expensive nutes. I think when I was new I just bought into the hype of AN but I want to try to get away from bottled nutrients and try to figure this plant out a little better. I just budgeted out a batch of super soil for like 150$ and that will last me about a year growing some beast meds. The only thing I have to replace often is earthworm castings and base soil. Anyway, best of luck! Your grows are looking good. Can't wait to see some smoke/harvest reports!
CaliGrown
CaliGrown
@Grimbol, Sounds like a good plan. I just heard that one of the 2 owners of AN was taken to court for stuff with a kid... I would stay far away from AN. Iโ€™ve heard good thing about Remo and Emerald.
GrimbolTheDruid
GrimbolTheDruid
@AlaskanGrownCaliRaised, Yeah so now Iโ€™ve had the chance to try 5 day flush, 3 day flush, and no flush so this time Iโ€™m going for a long one to see if I can see those pretty fall colors I see everywhere. Iโ€™m going to flush the AN ones with flawless finish but idk if I should do it to the organic plant. I think for science Iโ€™ll just use plain water on that plant. See if I can tell any difference between AN and not. Iโ€™m probably going to switch up off AN Iโ€™m starting to think they are not really worth the cash.
