Skunk no1 x Super Lemon Haze A.K.A.. (Sasquatch) I am pleased with this strain on so many levels. I basically let this plant grow as naturally as possible with minimum defoliation and almost no Lst training. She was producing high quality dense buds right down to one inch over the growing medium. In the last 2 weeks 2 buds basically appeared in the middle of the main stalk with no bud site or branches it just magically appeared dead center of the stalk. Not to mention all of the lowest branches produced nice phat long buds. I found the stems to be a great strength to support the weight of the massive buds and she didn’t need all that much extra support in the final weeks. I did add a few plant ties but she did most of the heavy lifting well. My noticeable observation with this strain was buds that were lower or out of direct light tended to swell more and produce denser buds which reduced the amount of small useless bud almost every thing was keep able. I feel like the lowest branches on the plant produced more than the higher branches they were covered in bud from main stalk to the tip. Her bug resistance isn’t 100% but compared to the Skunk No1 she did way better she had a few straggler spider mites when another plant that had them pretty bad she had very minimal. I finally got the spider mites under control after trying very many methods and it was as simple as using a no pest strip with my ventilation turned off for 24 hours completely obliterated all movement and I haven’t seen a single one since. In the US they are Hot Shot no pest strips labeled for spider mites. In Canada they are not labeled for anything but flying insects but have virtually the same ingredients so I gave it a shot and it worked amazingly. They are called Ortho home no pest strips. Save yourself time and effort and buy these things they work amazingly. The finished cured product cured for 8 weeks of this bud is extremely frosted with dank hash smell on your fingers after touching them, they produce a nice pile of trichromes when using a grinder that I’ve been saving to add to my pile of sugar leaves to make bubble hash at a later date when I’ve stock piled enough to make it worth the time. Buds are extremely sexy and smelly coming out of the jar but after being in a bag and slightly squished I guess you would say, they have the best bag appeal I’ve seen in any buds for a very long time. The extremely potent smell of skunk and near a almost rotting garlic odour penatrates through multiple bags and layers of clothes creating a bubble of ode de Sasquatch around you making it very hard to be discreet about even carrying it let alone smoking it in public. Makes me chuckle every time I turn heads the second I walk on a bus or through a store and I see noses in the air going whew wtf is that hahahahaha. For the flavour she gives off smoking is a nice one of my favs in weed dank basement kinda mustyness thanks to the haze and a near fruity kind of grapefruit earthy flavour she gets from the skunk no 1. I like to just throw little 0.2-0.3g buds into the pipe and smoke them whole without breaking them up and i am left with an extremely white ash from this clean but dank tasting bud. Very shortly after lighting this stuff up it nearly opens your eyes wider and clears your mind to create a lot of energy towards thinking very creatively. It is an amazing day time smoke that often leaves it impossible to resist very large cleaning projects. I am always in the mood to just chill and watch tv and 5 mins later I’m vacuuming stairs or cleaning all the glass in my greenhouse lol sometimes it gets annoying because you just want to chill but all you do is clean and multi task all day lmao. Many people I have shared this smoke with say the same and that it makes them very creative and social. There is next to zero burnout or paranoia associated with this weed just lots of cleaning and good thoughts. All in all I am extremely pleased with this strain high yield phat buds, sexy bag appeal, dank roadkill potent odour, clear headed creative thinking and a nice clean house you cannot go wrong with this smoke. Been told by a few people this is better than anything they have seen in the stores yet and a veteran 50 year smoker said it in his top 5 of best that he has smoked in that time. Simply great reviews that helps boost my confidence in growing. Since this harvest I have tried monster cropping that was meh same result in yield and potency. Lst was a good method to growing this with defoliation periodicly however I found just letting her grow naturally to be the best she has very nice Christmas tree kind of structure and enough strength to carry the weight on her own. I have a few people looking for phenos for me but this is definitely one that I will be proceeding to solidify the genes which means time to go smoke one and get on my reading glasses time for some more research. I have had a couple undocumented grows of this strain do to all my other projects and cleaning haha with the family being home for the past 4 months thanks covid lol but I will be back with some more eye candy very soon, my grow room got a complete upgrade in ventilation and lighting the Mars Ts3000 and I so cannot wait to see what this cycle produces with no more blurple heated lighting. I plan to add a few more photos of buds after being bagged and smoked before considered entering into diary of the month so stay posted more eye candy to come I just added some of my favourite photos over the grow and a few closer views of bud. Grow cycle was as expected 10 week flower time and using grow diaries to document share eye candy and get advice has been a great experience. Hopefully as covid clears up here in Canada I will have more time to spend in this awesome community. Thank you @growdiaries team the site keeps getting better great work guys and girls.

coco is a forgiving medium mate. make an error and it can be instantly flushed away if needs be. I love it as a quick grow throw together too. As long as you keep the ph around 5.8 going in all will be good. It leeches calmag from the plant and nutes so have some handy as your going to hit the most needy bit next. The gnats area pain in the ass but if you cover the surface with decent sand , the larvae get stuck and the adults cant get down to lay eggs. you can also try a 20%milk/80 water in a spray bottle to wet the coco surface and mist the plant with it too. it wont smell or do any damage at all but will kill any soft bodied insects as they breath through a membrane on their backs often and suffocate from the milk deposit. It will go straight through the coco too so no horrible stinky residue

@Lionsshare, pleasure mate. also soaking some tobacco in water for 24 hours and adding 20% to a spray bottle with water too.

@Ganjagrandaddy, thanks for the advice, yea I’m liking the coco compared to soil I just got the watering down I was still watering like soil up to a few weeks ago. Just waiting on some mesh pots coming today I’m going to try with my clones either way much better with coco. Yes I been feeding CaMg+ which is organic base for soil but the bottle is almost done I feed usually 4ml per gallon throughout the grow. And will get some CalImagic once this bottle is done. Adult Gnats I got under control they can’t fly far either to the floor to get squished or on the sticky pads it’s the young ones. I’m going to try the milk idea I recently used 9 parts water to 1 part alcohol and it literally destroyed spider mite population was only a few stragglers left and on another plus side it didn’t kill all my pistils on my flowering plant like insecticidal soap that killed barely any mites just pistils lol. So I totally believe and will try the milk lol thank you.

@Grnhead, thanks bud it’s a fun process found out some cool things along the way. So weird best weed I’ve ever smoked was on vacation in Jamaica called Columbian Gold (some really Skunk bud) and it turns out was one of the parent plants to Skunk No1 small world no wonder I like this particular skunk so much. Can’t wait to see what the lemon adds to it was a smelly one to
