'GDP x Bruce' by i49

Howdy all and welcome to Week 3, Veg w/ GDPxBruce. Things went pretty decent this week. The deets: The Good: -Happy to say things are seemingly on the up and up after a disastrous start. The comparison photo's above show just how far they've come, when for the first two weeks they did little to nothing. -New growth is looking far better then semi-damaged old growth. Great texture, color and health. -Running 1.11kPA to 1.20kPA and it is proving to be a relatively sweet spot for all the girls. They pray everyday, without signs of drooping, heat/light stress or wind burn. I keep my range withing 60-70% and 75-80 degree Fahrenheit. -Rooting very well during the recovery. Main stem and lateral branching is firm and holding well. I credit my first feed concoction/soil amendment for this. The Bad: -No bad folks. They're more then alive and thriving. Thumbs up👍 The 'Meh': -Noticed that all 3 of 4 girls were growing new sets but with only three blades a piece. I did some reading and heard it can be genetics or stress that may lead to sets with less blades. Well, it's not genetic cause there's three of them, so I'm assuming the early stress and recovery has led to less then optimal growth on those sets. Good news, all new sets are 5 blades and should be up and fanned out as early as tomorrow morning👌. -Night time temp and humidity is a problem. RH spikes and temp drops right off. Ceramic heater is too hammy, heat mat too weak. De-humidifier sucks (Not moisture! HA!) and I'm stuck trying to find a permanent solution. Most everything I'm doing is manual and I do it everyday😕. Would be nice just to let her go, all sealed up, without my intervention. I'm sure I'll get there... -I over watered again... Someone please take the syringe away from me. I can't stop myself! Damn, man😟 Notes of the Week: -I'm crediting a few things for the expedited recovery of these girls, all of which (except Gaia Green Bone Meal) were applied in their first feed on Tuesday, April 21st. Bone meal for slow release phosphorous to bring back fried roots and mitigate soil pH. Potassium Silicate to help strengthen above ground growth, foliar health and later branching health. Used Hygrozyme for the first time. A cleaning agent for the soil in order to mitigate pH swings and control any bad bacteria building or spreading withing the medium (Two applications now. I love this stuff. Smells god awful though....). And finally, the old school 'Stim Root #1' for softwood applications, really kicked up the root growth into new soil. Insta-tap. I recommend Stim root to everyone, actually. Extremely cheap, bare bones rooting hormone that's older then 95% of us. I mentioned this in my second grow, but this is the same hormone my Papa used 50 years ago to sow his apple tree saplings into new soil. Very old and reliable product. -Considering just giving away the remainder of my GHE supply and just move direct to an all Green Planet run. IDK. I don't want to mix things up too much and it might just be better to give the remainder to my buddy who is growing with GHE. -Feel like I'm pushing the recovery a little too much and I'm going to pull back a bit. Nothings wrong, but I can see where things will go if I keep asserting my will over them, instead of just letting them get there on their own...which they will. Boredom's a killer and the girls are paying the price. Anywho, thanks for stopping by and checking her out. Lost some time folks, but this one is going the distance.
