The high is wakeful with some relaxing cough lock tendencies. I feel she's right down the middle and acts the way you want it too. Sativa end gives focus and creativity, whereas the Indy side provides relaxation and couch lock. Weird little girl but definitely serviceable. I allowed an extra full week before the chop, in order to pull more amber trichs for a narcotic effect. Without this, I can see this strain being more daytime worthy and would definitely be more functional then it already is👍. I'm still on the fence with the strain, even though I've been smoking quite a bit of her fruit. Peppery, sweet with hints of pine. Tastes more pungent then it smells. Overall a decent! strain. Nothing to write home about, but good enough👌

Reviews. Nutrient
What can I say, this line just didn't mesh with me very well. I know it works for a lot of people but this didn't feel like a good fit. Micro and Bloom are serviceable, Grow is redundant and I saw little to no jam when using their Massive formula (Ended up going back to King Kola to finish them off). The only noticeable additive that worked very well was Liquid Weight and I wouldn't hesitate to pick up more of this and am looking at it for this new grow's coming Bloom. Other then LW, I'm going to move on and try a new line to see what suits me best.
Was a 4.5 out of 5 before, now it's 5/5. King Kola saved my ass when Massive didn't' seem to be doing the trick. Girls responded immediately and started to put on noticeable weight, much quicker (not coincidence w/ timing). As for sturdy stalk, I won't be looking back with this one. It has proven to create very strong cell walls and the girls nasticity and strength (even with cola weight) is through the roof. Using this once every 2-3 feedings gave me great results and solid form. Highly, highly recommend this or something like this.
I pretty much stopped using GHE and cut Floralicious for Liquid Weight, but Diamond Nectar has been very helpful and easy to use. Probably over priced compared to other options, but it does visibly work for the girl. Floralicious? Definitely over priced and there are better/equivalent options available.
Zero complaints again. Would like to expand further into their line in time. Only Cal-Mag Plus for now, but looking into their Tea Blend and a couple other additives that may assist me in future grows.
Reviews. Lamp
If you know me on this platform, you know I talk a lot about this lamp series...😀 I can't get enough the SF's and picked up a second SF-2000 to complete my tent whilst outing the Phlizon 1200 Blurple. With a new module on the side for operation, dimming and inter-connectivity (plug and play) between lamps to be controlled as one, this lamp just get's better and better. Again...I'm already looking to source another SF-2000 in order to commission my new tent. Until something better (that works for my needs) comes along, this is my mainstay.
Reviews. Tent
Though there were issues w/ the dual zipper flaps being a tad too rigid when I first received it, this unit has been perfectly adequate for all my needs. It's a little fortress that keeps my surrounding area clean and safe as well as keeping the girls clean and safe. No issues with zippers, flaps, functionality...nothin. Easy pick up for any grower. Oh, and no gimmicks and high prices, banking on a brand name. Just the goods👍

Hello! Welcome to GDPB's final pictures and Harvest notes. Little behind on this but really have to get er done since I keep smoking the product before taking final weights😂. I didn't put up a final entry before harvest, so It'll all be included here. The Deets: GDPB was a strange one and I really don't know what to expect. Not many Grandaddy Bruce's around for me to compare too, so most of this grow felt like I was in the dark. She had a slow start and finish, had some nutrient problems (my bad) and was a very stretchy/hammy strain. Just like the other entries, we'll go into the positive and negative traits noticed, final weights, product/bud review and then some final thoughts on her. Here we go👍 The Positives: -She was a fighter. Her and PSK were the most affected by mistakes but unlike PSK, GDPB bounced back in far better condition afterwards. -She had very good form, even if a little to tall. Her lateral strength was there and she did carry well all the way up to the end when things did get a bit heavy and she splayed. -Trichome Development was very, very good with her and I didn't really question her potency throughout this grow. She looked like she would have a serious kick and that she should/would meet close to breeder projections. -After the stretch and some lighting issues, she did start to push very fine, tight and interconnecting inter-nodal points and bud sites. The end game stacks turned out pretty well and did noticeably bulk up in her final 2 weeks. The Meh's: -Hammy strain and hard to control even with the high intensity of the SF. I didn't have to do the same stoner bends on her that I did on PSK, but she was much too tall, stretched way too fast and I did tap out of room with maybe a couple inches to spare. If it wasn't for the new dimming dial on the SF-2000, I probably could have caused some heat stress. Avoided this by running 80% in her final days. -Terpene profile seems weak... a me issue? I'm not quite sure. She is peppery and sweet but her profile didn't really impress me at all. Figured this would be one stinky girl, but she didn't hit her full potential....in my mind. -Need to watch nutrient feeding with her as she is quite fussy. PPM's can compound quickly if not careful and on the opposite end of things she will suddenly eat very quickly and need a kick or boost of nutrients. It was weird... Everything with her for Bloom was specifically tailored for her since she was so different and picky. -Genetic Versatility still needs refining. Though I didn't have too many issues with her, it seems pretty clear that this strain needs some work. It's not garbage in any way, but it does have a ways to go in terms of being developed. Strain and Product Review: -Her aroma comes off as citrus and pepper but her smoke comes back sweeter. Definitely not bad at all and very serviceable, even if this profile could! be more refined. -Buds had good weight too them and were 50/50 in terms of density. Not too tight, not too fluffy, just right in the middle. Breaks up very, very well and smokes evenly (bong, pipe and joints). -Ball-park potency for me is around 22-23%. This is far off from the breeders projected 28% and for once I don't feel it's a "me" issue. I feel that they either pumped their numbers or this was the absolute best case scenario. Either way, I doubt she would actually hit 28-29 as stated. Buyer beware... -Her high is also 50/50 for me. She's highly serviceable and potent, buuuuut, she's lacking flavor and nuance. Pretty plain Jane smoke for me, even if it does have a kick and heavy stone. -High is pretty clear and focused (Thinking the Sativa in er). I have had no anxiety issues with this girl. Even though she's focused it is an eating, sleeping and couch lock high stone that is very good for letting go at the end of the day when there's nothing else to attend too. -Good Yeild👍. Expected no more then 3.5 ounces off of her, but with her surprising density, I pulled about 4.25 ounce. Just like the others, no complaints about that! -Smoke is very smooth and clear going in and out. Slight cough lock if you take a tad too much, but allll good The Numbers (Popcorn/LARF has been halved in the "Outcome" portion of this entry. I don't personally count it as whole bud and just half the product count. The numbers below are the true product numbers weighed) : Jar #1 Whole Bud: 30 Grams (1.07 ounce) Jar #2 Whole Bud: 31 Grams (1.11 ounce) Jar #3 Whole Bud: 32 Grams (1.14 ounce) Jar #4 Popcorn: 24 Grams (.86 ounce) Total Product Pulled: 117 Grams (4.18 ounces) Very happy with these numbers and the pull. She did well and this wasn't expected. She did really good... beyond my personal expectations. Grow #2 vs Grow #3: -Used Green Planet nutrient line and dropped GHE (except for Diamond Nectar and Rapid Start) -Inclusion of a second SF-2000 at the beginning of Bloom and decommissioning of the Phlizon 1200 Blurple -More soil aeration by conditioning with more perlite and peat moss substrate. -More circulation added into the unit to keep things moving and breathing. -Better bracing in place and planned further ahead of time. -Even with big Veg mistakes, I cut a full week off of veg. The SF and advanced nutrient schedule are to thank for that. Looking for a 6 week flip near future. Final Thoughts: This strain is serviceable and definitely worth a go if you're looking for potency. If you're looking for a something more nuanced and tasty...this probably ain't it. I feel this girl would work for both Indy and Sativa smokers as she sports both smoke characteristics. Cough lock/couch lock Indy combined with a focused head high from the sativa end. As mentioned before, it's a decent strain but needs more refining. If you're interested in her, maybe give it a couple more years (?). **Special Note** This was not a single plants pheno's. GDPB's were given to my friend who grew two of them. He didn't do that great of a job and it wasn't as potent or tasty, but the same characteristics were there and it just doesn't have "It" yet. If you have the room, give her a go! If you need every last inch of grow space, maybe find something better suited to your needs. That's it! That's the ball game folks. Thank you all for stopping by and giving GDPB love over her propagation. Tough go's here and there but we made it and we have some fruit👍. Much love to all you fine folks for kicking around and assisting me when things weren't that great... This harvest is just as much mine as it your's. Wouldn't have gotten her to end game in this shape if it weren't for ya'll. Cheers✊🙏

@JinksyGrows, I am also considering buying a small Electric Hoist to raise and lower the units too and use "yo-yo hangers" on each corner to keep from the units from spinning. Might sound excessive, but having the ability to quickly and easily raise and lower the lights would be well worth the investment. I have been eyeing one with 110lb capacity and it only weighs a little over 12lbs. Anyhow, if you have questions or if I can help in anyway, please let me know. Happy growing!

Oveerwatering Issues=?. I feel you- To me the watering Regime is the hardest one to learn in indoor growing. It took me a good number of grows. I ended in watering daily, and smaller amounts. and Always to look for the plant before i water^^. If you have tiny plants, use tiny buckets to water them. ( a small glass )etc. You may take longer, but you cant overdo it. Or take a small plasticbottle and do some markings onto the bottle. so you see how much you want to give to one plant. and can Control how much they already got.

Man how did we experience the exact same thing at the same time!? Reading the comments I’m so glad to hear they’re bouncing back!! I just had 5 nodes when I overwatered and had 0 growth for 7 days and lost the 3 lower nodes on all my girls. Since reporting in fabric pots they’ve bounced back and are growing as good as ever! Can’t wait to see how yours bounce back man, good luck!!

@Mrs_Larimar, That's a good point. I was looking at last week's pictures and trich development and she is moving very quick. Good to know about the benefit of ticking analog as nice programable digital. Come to think of it, these household timers, are usually design for fence light or even night light. They are not rated for the wattage for grow room at all.
JinksyGrows

@Med_in_Tropic, You've got it, 100%. Residential timers being used for commercial lighting. Danger😮. With LED, the wattage is nice and constant without a spike👍. Thanks for reading man!

JinksyGrows
JinksyGrowscommented4 years ago
@Huggomadd,No doubt man. I learned a big lesson from this, and maybe it was necessary (?). I was taking people's word at face value, but they could have literally know nothing in the first place. I test everything now, lol! And only buy mediums that the seller has proof of using and/or testing before use👍. Live and learn! But this one hurt. Oof.
Huggomadd
Huggomaddcommented4 years ago
@JinksyGrows, The standard should be that garden centers/shops stand behind their products because they've tried them out previously themselves. Like tried and true. Hard to say; "Yeah this product works great and gives you a huge/great harvest. You should pay the $ and try it." When they truly haven't got a clue about the product.
JinksyGrows
JinksyGrowscommented5 years ago
@Ga4rd2en0er, Non name brand, locally sourced soil, sold at a gardening greenhouse, not a hydro shop. I've had words with the greenhouse already... Haha. Not happy, and told them to pull the product, less they have another 40 of me coming to crap on them. I asked if they ever test their substrates before selling them, too. They said no... So, won't ever trust them again. Edit 1: The soil was sold to me as 5.5pH seeding soil, btw. Higher N to PK volume. Should be standard stuff... Not sure how or where it got turned sour. Edit 2: And things are looking good, right now. I will not be kiboshing the project 👍. Lost time, but they're moving very well, now, in their new home
