WEEK 4 (11/7/2020 - 17/7/2020)
11/7/2020 - About an hour after transplant yesterday, the leaves were noticeably droopy. But this morning it's back to normal! So things are looking good! I think I might be able to perform my first topping tomorrow.
12/7/2020 - Noticed plant 1 new leaves tips are clawing in and the leaves appear darker green. I'm guessing nitrogen toxicity. But all the other plants seem to be doing OK. Maybe the phenotype is a bit nute sensitive. So the plan is to observe for 2 days and decide if I should change the res nutes to a lower dose.
Decided to top both plants today. Plant 1 just passed the 6th node and plant 2 8th node. Topped both plants and removed the lower bud sites but not the fan leaves.
13/7/2020 - The plants are recovering well from the topping yesterday. But the leaves appear to seem darker. I'll change the res nute today with lower dose of micro, gro and bloom from 4ml/gal to 2.5 ml/gal. Such a pointless decision of changing the nute the last time. I'm just going back to the previous dose now, when I could have easily topped up the nute res instead of changing it entirely. Well now I know how sensitive and bitchy growing in DWC can be. Lesson learnt.
14/7/2020 - The plants bounced back after the res change yesterday. Decided to top the backup plant since it's doing so well and started growing its 6th node. I think this strain is nute sensitive. I'll maintain the current regime until I flip to flowering.
Hey the roots that you are referring to looks like some new small roots coming in. The colour will be off for them as they are pretty fresh. Your plant is looking great. Great job
Happy growing
@myrceneCB1, Thanks. Just did my defoil, I suppose it depends a lot on how long it has vegged for. I let a lot of branches grow after getting my shape. And vegged mine for too long as they were outdoor plants. So it looks like more foliage.
Where as a younger plant would look like that ideally before flower.
Thanks man ๐ค
