WEEK 5 (18/7/2020 - 24/7/2020)
20/7/2020 - Second topping performed for both plants. Topped just above the third node. Cleaned the bottom nodes entirely including the leaves. I decided to throw away the backup plant. But noted that the roots have tangled with plant one. Instead of pulling it apart I cut the root closer to the backup plant and hope that I didn't accidentally cut plant 1's roots.
21/7/2020 - First Bending down of the two branches done for both plants. The branches are much bigger and harder now but I've managed to pull it down to almost 90 degrees.
23/7/2020 - Third and final topping done for plant 2 today. It was a little early but after the second node started appearing yesterday and today I have more room to to make the cut without any accidents, I decided not to waste more time. Plant 1 is still developing its first node. Perhaps in 2 days time I can perform its final topping.
24/7/2020 - Both tanks topped up with 2 gallons of nute each. All these while the light was at 26 inches at 50 percent brightness. At this I get an average of 26 degrees light on, 23 light off. I tried to follow to manufacturer recommendation of 36 inches during veg at highest intensity. But even at 75 percent brightness, the temp rose up to 31 degrees, Rh at 47. But with the tent fully open, the temp can go as low as 26. Right now the AC is at 20 degrees. I think I'll just leave the tent door open for now. There is a concern of pests but I've managed to effective close up all the holes in the room minus the air intake hole which is covered by a filter.
Hey the roots that you are referring to looks like some new small roots coming in. The colour will be off for them as they are pretty fresh. Your plant is looking great. Great job
Happy growing
@myrceneCB1, Thanks. Just did my defoil, I suppose it depends a lot on how long it has vegged for. I let a lot of branches grow after getting my shape. And vegged mine for too long as they were outdoor plants. So it looks like more foliage.
Where as a younger plant would look like that ideally before flower.
Thanks man 🤙
