First auto flower grow, 2nd indoor grow in general. Seeds went directly in used Happy Frog soil under a T5HO 4 bulb light (18/6 schedule) and switched to Vipar Spectra 300w LED once my tent showed up for germination and sprout. 6/6 on germinating/sprouting
All seeds have sprouted and have begun the veg stage. The amnesia seeds seem to be growing faster than the blueberry/sweet cream. Soon they will be getting repotted into 3 gallon fabric pots and will finish out the rest of the grow in those
All plants have been repotted into 3 gallon pots. It definitely was not the smoothest transplant and I stuned the growth moderately. Gave it some big bloom at 1/4 strength and hygrozyme to try and speed up the growth a bit but not much luck. Future auto grows will always be planted in the final pots (like i should've from the start)
Switched back (Again) from the T5 to the 300w Vipar Spectra this week and has improved growth quite a bit. went a little too crazy on the nutes too soon this week even at 1/2 strength on all it seemed to effect my plants with minor nute burn. Also believe im having some PH issues (see pictures). probably going to ditch the mad farmer PH kit for a more reliable meter. if you cant tell already by now, im quite the noob at this! new growth isnt showing any nute/ph issues like the previous sets so i believe im in the clear..
What do these spots on my leaves indicate? Seems like when i look it up it could be a number of things. Also seeing tiny rust spots on the bigger fan leaves
Twas a great week in the auto tent. This was the first week of this grow that i can honestly say that there was no real issues with the girls, just steady growth! The leaf problem I had on week 3 has seemed to fix itself, but just to be safe I gave it some calmag this week as it did heavily resemble a calcium problem in my opinion. This was also the first week I started feeding them nutes other than micronutes. Fed them 1/2 strength grow big and 3/4 strength big bloom along with the calmag. They clearly loved that and blew up over night. Preflower white hairs are now visible on all 6 plants. Cant wait to see them start showing some nuggage! Growth has been so strong lately that I have actually had to stop and think if i realistically have enough space for all these girls to be comfortable since it does seem a bit overcrowded. Picked up some netting and going to most likely attempt a Screen of Green on 'em. Will report back at the end of week. As always any comments, criticism, suggestions, etc. are encouraged!
Everything going well. Seeing the true first signs of the flowering stage now on all 6 plants, decided to ditched using the SCROG technique but did moderately defoliating the bottom portion of all plants, first reason being I had great success on first grow ever in my other tent with clones that are just about ready for harvest, and 2nd being they were getting so leafy and crammed from it that I felt it was necessary. Fed it with the usual big bloom/grow big/cal mag doses they’ve been getting , but threw in some FF bushdoctor boomerang (1/2 strength). I honestly didn’t even notice any stunt in growth. Will report back at the end of week 6, my mothes/reg fem plants will be getting the chop this week and these babies are getting moved under a 600w HPS to finish out their grow, pumped that it all lined up to happen during the first couple weeks of flower!
Everything going good, started feeding with Tiger Bloom as flowering has been underway for about 2 weeks. Moved the plants to my main tent under a 600w HPS and of course they are loving it. Unfortunately had to kill the slowest growing plants due to space (1x amnesia and 1x blueberry). So now left with 2x amens is, 1x sweet cream, 1x blueberry. The blueberry is accelerating in growth and age far beyond the other 3, not sure the reasoning (might just be better genetics or the strain itself). It’s the only plant so far showing true signs of bud growth and is certainly taller than the rest, but the other 3 are still growing strong and shouldn’t take more than a week or so to catch up to the blueberry. Did some minor defoliation as well when the move to the new tent occurred. Will report back next week :)
Another week down, the Blueberry is moving alone incredibly faster than the other 3, but during this week it finally became clearly observable that all 4 plants have began bud growth. Had a slight nute burn/ph issue problems towards the beginning of the week but seems like it corrected itself. Did a slight defoliation on all plants considering they’re jam packed close together under the light, so any extra breathing space is taken advantage of. Hoping by the time I update this diary next week that the 3 other plants will have a similar amount of bud growth that the blueberry has produced :)
Another week down, the Blueberry auto is getting pretty close to harvest and will definitely be finished well before the other three, but they are steadily growing and getting there. Nothing special to add this week really, standard alternating of watering and feeding and some minor defoliation to ensure no bud sites are being shaded by fan leaves.
As I posted prior to this update, the blueberry has been harvested and now the grow room is down to three girls (2x amensia, 1x sweet cream) which is definitely a good thing since it was getting a bit overcrowded with 4. Amnesias are moving along nicely, while the sweet cream is taking its time and maturing pretty slowly. I can see it taking atleast a week or two more than the amnesias come harvest time. Only Issue I ran into this week is a fair amount of rust spotted fan leaves on one of the amensais. I believe it’s either a mag deficiency or ph issues. Gave it some CalMag so hopefully that fixes it, and also ordered pH meter to use for waterings. Been using the mad farmer kit for adjusting the pH since I began growing indoors but as time goes on the more I start to think it isn’t as accurate as it seems. Other the calmag doss this week I’ve began to cut out all nutes and only feed the girls plain ph’d water with harvest approaching.
This blueberry was ready to chop weeks ahead of the 2 amnesias and sweet cream, but I think this made for a low yielding girl. Only got a little over an Oz when all is said and done, while the other autos seem to be bulking up much thicker than this blueberry. Aside from that it is a great smoke but should be chosen for particular sessions wisely as it is definitely a couch lock strain, at least in my world. Been curing about two weeks now which
Makes a world of difference. The buds were rather fluffy at first. Since they’ve been curing the nuts have tightened up nicely. Now to find some self control in allowing it to cure a few more weeks without blowing through it 😆
