I have 4 plants in my grow room, 2 are autos and two are not, can I grow them all under 24hrs light or should I reduce this to 20/4 or 18/6? Cheers

Hey Quilted One, yeah i did the same as you on that 24H cycle as long as i could, but my plants basically went into overdrive and they became quite unhappy after a while, needing loads of extra Cal Mag and such. You need to really dial in the nutes if you go 24H, probably need some acids for chelation, sprays and such. Try to spot your plants circadian rhythm and see: they do sleep and such just a bit less, then they do get a bit tired. For photos like your plants, 24h veg is fine but again you want to stay on top of them just to make sure. let me know how its going !

Hi @KiltedOne! In my opinion, every plant needs a daily dark phase, even autoflowering strains. Recovery happens at night, terpenes production happens at night, vertical growth happens at night... So I highly recommend the 20/4 or 18/6 light schedule. What you can do is to let all the plants under this schedule, then once the autos are flowering, switch to 12-12 after 2-3 weeks of flowering. This should not affect your auto's yield so much and this way you'll be able to trigger flowering for the photos right after your autos. I'm currently doing this and I really like the "double-harvest" idea, party is never over 😎Hope this will help, keep us up-to-date and happy growing 👊

During veg you can use any of the mentioned light cycles. I’ve never tried 24/0 because I’ve heard there are benefits to at least some dark cycle. I’m a pretty big fan of 20/4 though. Obviously you will need to switch to a 12/12 cycle when you are ready to flip your photo plants to flower. Good luck 👍

In case of the Automatics they will need a minimum Light for 18 Hours, Most Time iam Running 20 Hours, so the Plants can have a Rest and develop better. You can run Automatics 24 Hours, ive done it too. But because you are running with Photoperiods who needs a LIghtbreak to develop well i would suggest you a Time above 18 Hours and under 24 Hours. Ive had the best Feeling and results under 20/4... happy growing
