Any tips on improving my LST on autoflowers? Should I also use bamboo sticks? What is their actual purpose? Can you hurt the roots when sticking one in the soil ? I did a lot of research about LST and came up to this pic. How to you build that spiral ? Should that be a goal? Thxx

It's an interesting pattern but unnecessary. Just bending it to create more tops will help. If you have the time start looping it around the edge of the pot. Sticks are fine just try not to stab it into the root ball. Happy Growing! ✌️

I have trained white widow fem. In this way: 12 gallon square planter gets seedlings in each of two corners of the planter. As they grew I drilled holes along the sides of my PVC planter and used green plant string to tie branches down in opposite directions until they meet. Then let them finish in this spiral shape evens out the light exposure from the top. Since I grow outdoors, I found no difference between the trained and untrained in the final product so I no longer do. Indoors is where this technique, like most, shines by evening the amount of light on the colas. Outdoor where the sun comes in from all of the 180' of the hemisphere such training seems needless.

Not all strains will take training as well as an other. But you can grow out for a few weeks so it's a couple feet tall and then by bending the stem over you help the under shoots gain dominance creating a nice even canopy rather than little buds at the bottom of the plant and only nice buds on the top. 🌱👌👍
