Do pre-flowers mean slower growth

My plant has started showing it's first few pistils (white hairs) in veg. Does this correlate with a decreased growth rate?

Hi there!
No, I don't think that the pistil showing should slow down the growth at all and actually at the first stages of flowering the stretch will begin and she starts to grow even faster!

During the initial swap from veg to flower it will slow. But as shag said only briefly and then goes into the stretch stage.

Slow growth / not spreading out much / compact plant. What gives ? Should I attempt to defoliate to get more light in there / pump more nutes ?Any advice on making it grow faster ? I'm in the 7th week of veg and it's not as bushy as it should. Still growing, just slow. It doesn't seem to want to spread much horizontally / fan leaves are staying relatively small. Yellow Cotyledons?NLxBB was born with yellow cotyledons. The shell was stuck after sprouting so I had to help remove it. Took around 2 days before I saw them barely open with new growth. The new growth is green and seems healthy. Is there any reason why this is happening?

Clear out middle or leave it be .?. Wk7Should I clear out middle so she focus on tops.?. Will middle amount to anything ?. Some of it grew upwards but not all. I don't want her wasting energy if she can put to better use elsewhere on plant. ?. I'd prefer larger buds over smaller ones.
