Need to make sure you have cool water. Dissolved oxygen is best in water at 62 to 68 degrees. That's the range for vigorous growth as well. Frozen water bottles or freezer pack in your system can help reduce temps in the rez. If the brown washes off there's no problem but if it's your roots turning then that is a sign that root rot is setting in. Cheers friend

Hey there, just thought I would chime in here. I grow DWC and to had beneficial bacteria and still had problems with root rot. The product I use and highly recommend is "Z9", its made by a company called Flying Skull. It depends if you are living in Canada or the USA, cause they make a slightly different one called "Z7" for the USA. Anyways I am not affiliated with this company nor have been asked to promote. After using this product all my slime issues have gone, as long as I continue to use Z9! It also stabilizes the PH and keeps it there for weeks. So if you are looking for an alternative, give it a try.

I noticed a build up or an increase in Brown from using Great white.... Water smells good? Feel good as well? should be fine... Root rot smells "rotten" and makes roots look awful... I don't use Hydrogen Peroxide... I don't use Water Chillers.... And I'm a successful hydro grower :).

Hello. Please ask Mr. Google about using Hydrogen Peroxide in the revivor. H.P. doesn't like rot root and will help there. H.P. doesn't like bacteria and will help there. I use 1 once of 35% H.P. in 5 gallons of water. Chuck.
