Looks almost like root rot. Check if the roots are mushy. Are you using humates? The negative charged particals stick to roots.

I'm new to DWC and growing all together , but I'm pretty sure that voodoo juice have a humates in it , wtf mushy roots means ?

I'm using AN MGB , vodoo juice and b52 ,root riot cubes , hydroton , I do have serious pH fluctuations , due to bad ( 8,5 pH , 088 ppm ) water and really small containers which are filled only with 1,4 l solution

Looks like rot, roots should be healthy white. Is there any odour?
No more watering, hopefully it dries out and pulls through.

Is this root rot, could it be an excess of nutrients? How can I fix this from happening.I have some root issues, I recently upped the PPM in my tank, and since then my roots have started going very brown. PPM was at 900 when this issue appeared, so i reduced and is around 690 Ph is 5.8, - OUTDOOR DWC

discoloration in roots - should i worrythey seemed to be really white at the beginning of the week when i first looked at them. they seem to have show signs of off-coloring now.
should i be worried and taking counter or investigative action at this stage.

Brownish red algae like substance in DWC within 48 hrs- plants look great thoI’ve done DWC several times, not a newbie. Getting pH spikes from 6.0 to just under 7.0 in 48 hrs, and an algae like dark brown/reddish substance within 48hrs as well. New stones, black buckets, 950 GPH pump feeding 1 stone per bucket. Net pots covered with cardboard. What gives?Week 3

DWC - root video, h2o2 issueYet another anxiety, I hope it is nothing special. But prevention is better than cure and here you all know more than I do!
I added 10ml of 3% H2O2 inside the DWC through the control tube, after a few seconds there was a strange chemical reaction.

Roots getting brownMy Ph probe didn't work, PH was at least more than 0.30 (maybe 0.60) than displayed. As a result they had multiple chlorosis, now septoria leaf spots and possible Pythium since the roots are getting brown. What would you do to save the crop ? Adding mycorrhizae? Thx!4y ago
