Do you think this is a better position for carbon filter so it can have better airflow or is it more important to scrub air from the top and have 2 90 degree bends?
I'll probably try this in my next grow.
Pic with drying plants is setup from before with 2 90 degree bends.

Whaaaat Athos, tell me you didn't just sugest he sets up the filter outside!
The filters were engeneered to work thru suction, if he sets it outside he will need to use it the other way around, rendering the filter ineffective, so that was a big NO NO.
You are right about the top air being hotter, you should set the exhaust outside to leave enough room for the filter to sit right at the top (but inside the tent).
Other than that everything is perfect, with this quick change you will have it 100% efficiency!

90 degree bends are just result of limited space.
Straight line is always better. Stronger flow and less noise.
Horizontal straight line is the best option 💪

Hey Growmie,
You should put it where it's hanging above the plants at the top of your grow space this is going to help with airflow and exhausting the heat from the area properly. Hopefully, I answered your question and remember ..."Happy Growing" and "Free your mind one puff at a time"

With the size of that turbine there won't be any difference in heat from the top and the bottom, that will do negative pressure/vacuum on the tent if that's properly closed.
But having the turbine on top of the tent will save you space.

Even if you set it outside and still using suction from the outside right at the vent opening you would reduce the area of contact of the filter with the air it will filter by quite a lot.

exhausting the top air is better in my opinion, since it is where the warm air is. You could always try to set the filter out of the tent to avoid the bends

I got a dehumidifier to regulate and keep the humidity in 50%.
When i opend the deposit of the water of the dehumifier i found these little flies that are the classic Substrate fly (nasty but no harm).
