I noticed recently that a few of my leaves have these white spots on them with a little damage on them as well. Would this be linked to my slug problem? Or is it something completely different? I have been applying neem oil every few days but it doesn't seem to get rid of pests.

Hi buddy, looking at your diary plant is almost healthy for her stage, just a little yellowing on the bottom but normal for the age, a few cricket / hopper bites. The photo is not clear but it appears to be white mold, nothing to worry about, it could be a bird dropping an old spider web. Try cleaning with a damp cloth. 👊

Slugs or snails seem like a solid choice for what looks like a big old steamer they left behind. All you can do is keep treating as necessary, but you're outside so bugs will be a constant for you. With a bit of luck, heavy trichome development will repel a lot of them. You really should stop the neem oil when they start flowering also.

Do not use neem oil outdoor, it has a toxicity for bumblebees and probably bees aswell. I don't think it is problematic, just some insect that ate your leaves and now fungus are developing from the injury. For me it is not slugs/snails because they eat as they move and they leave a spot behind them. Good luck

Add: If the white spots reappear after cleaning in the same places again you may have a White Powdery Mildew problem. Stay alert
