Hello guys, should I start feeding the plants and if so what NPK values should I use? I replaced the plastic bags with plastic plates so I can collect the water and throw it. Since I added the plates though, the soil stays wet for much longer that it did, thank you!

Hey there, so 5 weeks should be enough time for the nutrients in the soil to be used up. Some people will use dry fertilizers and amendments as top dressing, and others will use bottled nutrients. But regardless of style you'll want to start adding in a micronutrient that has all your low levels of much needed trace elements. Then find the grow nutrient you like, and this could have NPK numbers like 6-4-4 like fox farm or vary a touch, but seek out the ones which have the slightly higher N. Then being an autoflower variety you may want to start at half dose or less just to check how the plant responds. Then when flowering starts coming you'll want to load up with a nutrient higher in the opposite- P and K. Such as the Tiger Bloom from FF is 2-8-4. You can find many that are extremely higher P K like open sesame which is 5-45-19. Just look out for the shift from high N to high P K and youll do fine. Happy growing โœŒ๏ธ

Hello ! Generally most of the soil are pre fertilized and have enough nutrients for 3 to 4 weeks of vegetative grow. Since you transplants during week 2 you can now start to feed with a nutrient for vegetative growth. I've seen you used a 10-6-6 nutrient : the values age good for vegetative stage so you can feed once every 2 watering ( one with water , one with feeding and repeat ) but the only way to know how much to give to the plant is th buy an Ec/Ppm pen tu check one of these values and know if you feed them too much or not and at that stage I would give them around 0.8 to 1.2 Ec. For the flowering stage you will need a Bloom dedicated nutrient like bio bloom or if you can't go to your local growshop then try to find a nutrient with more Phosphorus (P) and Potassium (K) than your actual, I can't really give you a value as the bloom nutrients formulas are all differents but most are made with more P and K than N. Now concerning the plates , I think that both the plates and plastic bags are retaining water but you have more evaporation thanks to the bag. I also noticed that you were watering a bit too much : 1st ) At that stage no need to water until you see a runoff except in case of extremely dry soil ( require to break the surface ) 2n) On each weeks pictures your soil looks moist and I think the moist is continuous so you should know that cannabis grow better when you settle a dry / wet cycle , that mean you need to wait until the soil get a bit dry to water. To know when to water just lift your pot when it's dry and remember the weight , then water and lift again , now you need to weight until the pot recover the light weight before watering again. I hope it will help you ๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ‘

Hey there @yungchrist59 First off I would remove those plates as soon as you can because a build up of moisture and a retention of water in your pot is not good at all. It leads to a denial of oxygen from entering the soil and also drastically changes the PH as the moisture gets locked into your soil. I recommend waiting to add nutrients into soils that already come with nutrients inside of them at least until you get a feel for that brand and can judge better. You will want to constantly monitor the plant for the first few days while testing new nutrient levels to ensure a Toxicity can be flushed sooner than later. Hope this helps answer your questions Yungchrist59! Feel free to ask anything else your curious about ๐Ÿ˜Ž

hey man i dont really bother with veg nutes for autos, you can probably wait another week or two then start on quarter strength bloom nutes at 3-8-8 or something similar , the main thing is getting some enzymes to go with it - you're doing well as it is though, and what's wrong with a plain water soil grow, you'll get great results either way ! hope this helps my friend ! ๐Ÿš€

You can start feeding, and look at your bottle what is recommend begin with highest half of the dosage. Plagron alga grow has for example npk 4-2-4 they recommend up to 4 ml/l .. i started with 1ml/l. If the plant reacts well, give next week 2 ml... and so on look what the plant tells to you
