I am looking for advice as far as light distance during vegging with a 630w CMH double ended. I have it at about 36” right now.

If your using sun system then 24-26 inches and further for seedlings probably around 30 inches. But different models of cmh need to be hung different. Some at 3 ft. Same as with MH/HPS grow lights, always conduct the 30-second “hand test” after you’ve positioned your light. If the light bothers your hand after 30 seconds, it may bother your plants!

Should I defoliate light-blocking leaves from my NL auto?My NL auto is at D40 and is growing well. She's developing a good lot of cola's with nice bud sites. Up untill now I've been able to tuck the leaves away, but it's getting more difficult to keep all bud sites cleared as she keeps growing. Should I tactically defoliate?

Pruning damaged leave While my plant was acclimating one leave that stayed on the pot have been burnt due the intensity of the sun(my pot is grey so absorbs very much heat and light) I have to prune that leave or just let it go.. I ve read somewhere that an injuries leave means stress for the plant

LST or leave them be?Should I Low stress train these girls? I have never grown autos and I am very afraid to stun them. They are ripping fast through water, temperatures are high so they are producing a lot of sugars. I defoliated the fan leaves of #3 in the hope it will grow a bit faster.

Week 7 SCROG vs Defoliation question I'm in the middle of week 6 of flower, both strains are expected to finish at 8 or 9 weeks. Plants are crowded. Buds aren't as big as I was expecting. I'm not sure if I should leave the SCROG canopy to boost the crowns, or defoliate to get more light to the lower bud sites.

I changed my lighting setup for this one and took out the CFL’s from before, I only have a 300W LED grid hanging now. Will this make a difference? And how big ? I also moved the LED a lot closer for this grow. Would the height it’s hanging from now be okey ?
