Since autos have a finite timeline is it better to just let it grow as much as possible and get as big as possible or have the most bud sites when its starts to flower? I'm doing my first grow and started a Critical Thunder auto amongst my others. Not knowing anything about autos

that's actually a great question, and you know what i does depend on genetics, i have had XXL strains that take to LST and beast out but take 12 weeks+ and i've had some that dont take to LST , and some that benefit from larger pots (10 gal +) and some that dont. For your specific gens your critical thunder will be a large yielder that takes well to LST, BB3 is a great plant to LST, but the wedding cake and durban poison i've only let them grow , so i dont want to commit but you're probably pretty well off if you want to LST them... just one thing about autos : i havent really had much success LSTing after like the third week of veg. Hope this helps !

It is better to let them grow when you'r a first timer. Autos can easily be harmed and it could slow the growth. I strongly believe that any topped or trained Auto would have been a better yielder without doing it but we all have differents setup and it's all about the setup: your setup is telling you if you need to train or not

Hi, ive growing alot of automatics, here my common tips, let the seeds soak, nd then do the toiletpaper/ towel method for germinating ( some have such hard shells) some need a good shake in alittle box . So you create little cracks in the shell and the plant can better come out of its shell. give your automatic plant after germination the final pot. Plat the seed with roots in a big pot (11/15l) filled with a fluffy soilmix. Automatics hate transplant and loove fluffy soil. Around start of week 3 Give her anice LST Training. I top my Automatics at least one time... in my actual grow i to them multiple because the strain grows soooo vigor. Give the plant best conditions from start . Humidity and Temperatures in the VPD schedule. Pay attention with your feedings, start slow with half dosage of nutrients ( most time you only have to feed in trasition to flower. But some vigor growing plant need "food" earlier. you see it in much lighter leaves appearing. Feel free to look into an older , or my actual diary called " critical riot in the club" happy growing

Hello dear friend I only grow autoflowering. For me the best technique that offers the best performance is the LST combined with the pinch of Apex. The two handsets allow you a more homogeneous canopy thus a better luminous penetration and consequently a better final yield. 👍 I invite you to see my diarie different test do with 5 autoflowerings that combines several techniques including LST topping FIM mainlining 👍 growdiaries.com/diaries/37722-differents-tests Good luck for your grow 🌱 May the strength be with you 💪

@Joe3166 Hi joe since its your first grow I think perhaps you should keep it fairly simple and just let the plant do its own thing instead you should concentrate on providing the best environment you can like optimal temps , humidity a ph range from 6.2 - 6.6 for your soil and try not to overfeed or overwater. Once you have the first grow under your belt you can then attempt to attain more yield or practice different grow techniques Hope this provided an answer and Good luck with your first grow
