It’s ok. you could have held another internode and flexed your arms more. You have done the cut on a nice big trunk be careful that the exposed wound does not rot, perhaps it was better to start earlier and more calmly

Fan leaves during main-liningDo you recommend leaving the fan leaves when doing main-lining, or should I remove them? My thought is that through those leaves, the plant will continue photosynthesizing more efficiently and won't experience as much stress. What do you recommend—should I remove them or not?
