It’s ok. you could have held another internode and flexed your arms more. You have done the cut on a nice big trunk be careful that the exposed wound does not rot, perhaps it was better to start earlier and more calmly

Did I wait too long to top?I just topped, main-lined, and defoliated. The stem is about the thickness of a pencil, and the nodes are very tightly packed. Overenthusiastic Supercrop Think I overdid it with the supercropping. The worst branches hang below 90° but the growth seems healthy, everything turned up towards the sun the next day. I changed the worst so they're supported and less than 90°. Is there more I can do? A way to avoid splitting the skin ?
