russrahlanswered grow question 4 years ago Oh, and ph is absolutely crucial in DWC. Double and triple check ph calibrations, check ph levels daily. Be vigilant in monitoring your ph, ec, and water temps and you will have very few problems. Start feeding at 1/4 to half nutrient ratio amounts and go from there. But once you get it all dialed in just sit back and watch your ph and ec Levels daily. If ph goes down and ec goes up, your over feeding. If ph slowly drifts up and ec slowly drifts down then your plants are feeding and you can possibly add more nutrients. This is what you want it to do, or stay if they stay level it’s good too, means you’re at the approaching max nutrient uptake. So try to set the ph at 5.8 to begin and let it drift up to 6.2 then knock it back down. This will allow the plant to uptake all the different kinds of nutrients needed that are only available to the plant at certain ph levels. Hope this helps. Cheers.
