Defoil on auto..to do or not to do? I’m tried to lst them to keep them low but the leaf are too big and many of them covers the flower under. Is it a good idea to remove them?

It's not as pretty, but if you want to increase light without defoliating you can move some of the leaves around and tuck them behind others. You can bend or stratch some of the leaf stems to get them to bend into a different direction, though I know that can get old quick especially with a larger number of leaves.

It's a personal choice but removing some that are blocking the light right above the tips would be helpful. I personally don't cut them off well not totally I scissor through leaves. To me half a leaf is getting more energy than no leaf..just don't go crazy..

Personally, I would remove the leaves blocking bud sites.
