I would give it a helping hand... surgical yes but necessary sometimes. Just take some tweezers and split that shell wide open, then plant 👌👍👊

I take shokolatemans method and i think when i dont help with pinzette then the tail comes not out. So i hope now that this white seedling grows into a green plant!

Lights on or off during germination?Just put my seeds straight into the soil for germination. Should I turn the light off during this step at all? Or does it even matter?. Stem damage? Or just dried husk stuck on stem?Does the husk or material on plant 2 look like it is damage on the stem to you or is it just dried seed husk stuck there? I tried to be as careful as I could removing the seed shell that was still partially closed over the leaves that were fighting to open.
