Stem damage? Or just dried husk stuck on stem?

Does the husk or material on plant 2 look like it is damage on the stem to you or is it just dried seed husk stuck there? I tried to be as careful as I could removing the seed shell that was still partially closed over the leaves that were fighting to open.

This is nothing to worry about at all! As the plant grows, the seed casing will fall away naturally. Looks like you've got a very nice, STRONG seedling there, just be patient and she'll make you happy!

It will fall off soon enough, all by itself, no need to do anything. It is just a bit of "seed skin" and not harmful. The biggest danger comes from trying to remove it yourself.

They have a skin inside the shell which can sometimes come apart from the shell and that's what this is, I think. If it is it's fine it'll just fall off by itself or if you dab a bit of water on it that should losen it for removal but I would just leave it to grow out..

Sprouting delay. How long do I wait? Are lights on and fans running important while waiting for germinated seeds to sprout? I lightly water the medium.Germinated autos by paper towel method, & put them in soil 2 days ago. The still haven't sprouted out of the soil. How long should I wait? Many of my attempts don't make it past seedling.What could be the problem? Done 3 grows now. Each time germinated several seeds. I can almost always get a tap root but when I plant, many never sprout and those that do sprout, half remain small and never grow past 2 little leaves. I'm always growing autos.

Seed not emerging from soil :(Pre-germed a seed and placed it about 2cm deep into Canna Terra Professional Plus soil, approximately 12inchs below a 240W HPS light. Watering around 0.1 liters a day.
