New 4x4x8 Tent Need a better light 400 budget any suggestions??

I wouod ads to what you have. Mars hydro or spider farmer u can listen to youtube and read articles all day but point is bang for the buck and they do work...problems are not upgradable and usually last around 3 yrs some more or less depends really on enviroment. I have a tmlapy im using now. Secong grow almost done fan already stopped thankfully it has 3 more hmmm they must have known lol. So i suggest passive cooling either a ts or sp300 something along those lines full spectrum white with reds. Dont worry about blues bcuz the white takes care of that. I just ordered a growcraft led they upgrade and have warranty and just awesome. But good luck hope this helps

I would suggest the light im using. But its cheap and I don't want to lead you the wrong way considering there's amazing brands out there. Its a 1200w full spectrum dimmable daisy chain led for 74$. Go with a Mars Hydro TSW 2000. Although it's footprint is really 3x3 in flower, it still works well in my 4x4. If you're willing to pay $450, look at the MH TS3000. Great light and has 4x4 coverage in flower.

Buy cheap buy twice brother, trust me on that, hence why I have 6 huge cfl bulbs in storage now lol

Nah mate, just get true watts from the wall, or it's sub standard imo. You gotta delve right into led to understand it, I haven't fully gripped it yet but you want true watts from the wall. Any decent board does this. My invisible suns and migro aray all show advertised watts when plugged into a watt meter.

Yeah those 4 panels kicks major ass but there a lil pricey

Typically you'll need atleast 25w to 50w per square foot. 16 square foot x 25w = about 400w. 400 true watts. My 1200w led light pulls a true 120w With this being said. A 4000w led would be the best fit for a 4x4. But to make sure you have even light coverage. I would get 2 x 2000w Or 4 x 1000w leds. To spread the lighting further. Hope this strategy helps.
