Starting week 8 and the bud size isn’t what I expected it to be. There is a lot of buds but they are mostly popcorn size. I’m thinking this might be the result of not doing LST and letting it do it’s thing. She is still feeding and growing vertically closer the the light but showing no signs of heat stress. I added a second light for the lower bud sights. Any suggestions would be great.

Hey Bigwerm! the reason the buds are staying smaller and the plant keeps growing up towards the light is it's not getting enough light. So they won't get really big because they just are not able to create enough energy so form bigger buds due to not being able to photosynthesize as much as it could. So really the only solution it to add either more light or trade out those leds for a higher actual wattage led or you could go with fluro but I would recommend a HID setup or r a good quality led.

I've had the exact same thing happen to me and I'd say it's the P4P power of that LED. I vegged some plants under a little 300w hydro led and the node space was huge with small bud sites. Since I changed to growing under a more powerful light I'm seeing tighter mode spacing and more dense compact buds. Either add another light or swap the LED for a variable HPS would be my advise.
