Did I need to size up to larger rockwool cubes?Geminated seeds in 1x1x1 rockwool cubes. End state is to be in 5 gallon buckets with 8" net pot and clay pebbles. I figured the roots are too small to reach all the way into water solution still so put small cubes into 4x4x4 rockwool. Did I need to use larger cubes?

The possibility of using runoff, oxygenated, tested, adjusted to hydro levels and reused? Will it work or have I wasted money again?I'm using my own mix of soil composed of approx. 30% advanced organics potting soil, 30% peat, 15% coco, 15% perolite, 10% .5x.5x.5 compost. Soil recommendation? Typically use Fox Farms Happy Frog but price keeps going up and quality seems much lower, lots of sticks, not mixed well etcIs there any soil recommendations anyone can make that are good but a less pricey? Dont get me wrong, I love Fox Farm’s, and 38/bag isnt terrible. I’m just curious if anyone has found a more mainstream soil that’s as good of soil. False reading or Hi PH?Is 20% humus lombrico mixed in my substrate giving a false ‘hi’ ph reading? Or is it truly over the max reading? I got one reading of 7 only at the exact second I took the picture, so I made a video. My water is high in calcium, I recently switched to distilled.
