deeunit1answered grow question 4 years ago There's now two schools of thought about defoliation.I started in the 90s and was always taught not to stress your plant too much during flower and only take a dozen or so leaves off your plant, the one's doing a lot of shading but the new school is to strip your plant of something like 75% of your leaves in the first week of flowering.Iv seen it done a number of times over the last few years and it certainly doesn't seem to harm them like we were taught.I haven't seen any evidence of it making your buds even fatter like they claim. This new info is from people like Stoney Tark who write for Soft Secrets and YT Lex Blazer among others.Iv been stripping the leaves pointing in and anything that's shading bud sites and I started my first skunk grow in the early 90s.Take care who you get your info from,me included.
