White reflects best. If you use proper lighting and electrical you will be fine. The room or the house is flammable that you have your set up in. So I wouldn't worry. Do you have the same thinking when you live in your house. I better not sleep it could burn down around me.šŸ˜Ž

I'd say they're flammable, but no more than a tent would be. The trick is not to let a heat source come in contact with anything in your grow space. Namely your lights. The biggest problem with the shades is if they come lose and move onto your heat source. I realise you've put a lot of effort into the car shades but if you really are concerned, plain old flat white paint is nearly as reflective as the car shades (maybe more so). Remember painted wood is flammable too so the heat source rule remains šŸ˜€. As a side note try to avoid mixing E.U and U.K sockets. You'll cause issues with your earth/ground connection. Not a good situation. I know you didn't ask for this advice, but it's a pet hate of mine šŸ˜ƒ. Good luck with your grow, the car shades look nice, neat and tidy

the truth is that the whole reflective thing doesnt really work as well as we think it does because the power of the light exponentially reduces as distance increases so even 6 inches before it hits the reflective surface means six inches more to bounce back, and a foot in distance at that scale is the same as infinity for all intents and purposes... but it does do something, and it does help in grow boxes.... so yeah it's a good idea, plus you have some extra insulation, which is great. i dont think they are flammable, but i would check on a corner with a lighter, just in case... it might be one of those that once it catches it smoulders , so .... short answer : you're doing well, and it's gonna help ! Hope this helps ! šŸš€

Reminds me of my very first setup except I used a brute trash can, worked great, until I read that they are flammable, just like you didn't want to take the risk so I bought a grow tent, haven't seen it catch fire but again like you said it's not worth the risk.
