regular seeds or female seeds, what is your preference and why?

a question old as time , well as old as when the seed companies way back introduced them to the cannabis world, i remember people were like whoa, female seeds no way crowd and the other crowd was like wow. it is true that running regs are good if you want to do pheno hunts and getting rid of males, and i also understand running females with no worries about males, but watching out for hermmies. even in regs though you will run into hermies. it happens, just part of nature. unless it is a high rate then that is a different story. Back to the seed question at hand, as i will try to examine the pros and cons. Reg seed are good for pheno hunts, getting good fire weed, getting males to use to make seed either home or large scale. storing pollen to preserve the strain for future generations cons of regs, males, wasting nutrient, in return wasting money, unknown how good finding fire in regs. can herm out pros of running female seed, guaranteed female , fire depending on strain, no time or resources wasted so less money spent, having seedless bud cons, can herm out, may not produce big yields for all, may not be female, can herm out. there is probably a list of more i am sure but i like booth, i like running female seed knowing it will be seedless. i also like running regs for the hunt, for the seed and pollen as i am just hooked on growing cannabis. it is a fascinating plant to watch grow, to help live and to see the changes it goes through, creating and preserving strains, is an experience i itself is a reward. in the end though they are all just seeds and some are better than others. so there is no clear winner in the question as it is always and option and there is no answer except different opinion and nothing more...i even like autos, some of them. i say give them all a chance to grow, it is the only way
