Digging holes for planting and found white matter in soil How can you handle a mold/fungus at that level and would it be safe? Otherwise what size fabric pots should I get for the best outdoor results for a grow lasting over a summer for harvest in late Sept. Thanks for advice..

I used a 5:1 mixture of water:hydrogen peroxide to help with fungus gnats. That worked well in that situation the gnats went away and the plants were fine. I’d try the same here if it were me. For fabric pots for outdoor, the bigger, the better. I’d say 7 gal minimum, 10 gal (or larger) would be better. Good luck!

To remove fungus gnats, you can remove the top 2 inches of soil, where most eggs and larvae is located and replace it with sand. The size of the pots depends on the size of the plant you want; as a rule of thumb consider 1 gallon of soil per month.
