aslong as the has the same fitting and matches the whattage of the ballast any bulb can be used though looking into cool air tubes if your going with HPS they are pretty much needed to cool the bulbs they can get super hot after 18/12 hours of use per day :)

So I'm planning on buying a ipower 1000w if I wanted to upgrade the hood later on I can use any manufacturer as long as its 1000 watts
