Noob question about germinating autoflower in final pot.

If you have experience germinating an autoflower seed in its final pot in Coco/Perlite 70/30, I know you need to keep the coco moist, but also no light? I would prefer not to do that, cuz light keeps pot at 82F, which is optimal. Otherwise drops to 73F. Thanks.

Light shouldn't be a problem.

Thank you all for your answers. I decided to plant straight in the soil because of the high-stakes nature of auto-flowers - screw up early in the game and you are back at square one. I've blown a few seeds already in only a few weeks, and I've noticed that the wetting/checking/handling/tweezing/planting of the seed introduces a good deal of risk and complication to an already risky process. So I went with simplicity - into the coco and I spritz water every six hours or so. I also placed a small non-rusting metal storage/snack can sort of thing over the spot like a humidity dome. So it should block light and increase humidity. Tent is at 85 degrees. And all I have to do is water and wait. The seed handles the process by itself like it's supposed to. I like this method. Good for my blood pressure.. 😁

When I grow in coco. I soak the seed in a cup of warm water with ph between 5.5 and 6.0 I leave it in the water for 24hr. While that's soaking for 24hr I soak my final pot until I get run off in the range of 5.5 to 6.0. Usually I don't have a tap root out after 24hr but the shell should be softer. I then put a hole in middle of the coco about 3/4 inch deep and drop the seed in and cover it with coco. I then place a clear container over it and leave my lights on 24hrs a day until they all pop.

Germination process should be done very naturally for better growing experience.Just like how nature does. Wet the coco with a litle bit of calmag, put the seed in the pot, keep the light off until they sprout. 73F is 22C which is in the good range. I never transplanted my plants, never needed it. And you know what, I haven't had a seed not germinating so far. Good breeder and good growing conditions makes a good grow. The pH im feeding my plants at is 6.1 in veg and 5.9 in flower by the way,if you can find get some full coco without perlites,to get the basics. coco is an excellent medium itself.Highly aerated and almost immediate nutrient effects you'll notice.

I grow in coco. I germinate using a glass of water with a ph of 6.5. I very light scuff both ends of a seed and drop in a cup of water. I them put foil over top. My germination week on my diaries has a picture. I set cup on top of substrate in corner of room. Lights are still going on other plants. But room is perfect temperature. After 24 hours in a cup of water, usually the seed has popped and tap starting. I then place seed in coco about a half inch deep. So very shallow but dark on seed. I put a dome over it and wait. Usually by day 3 or 4 I have a sprout. I remove dome after seed husk has fallen off. Please check your run off ph of your coco prior to planting. Shoot for a 5.8 ph for vegging 6.2 in flowering. Usually takes a lot of water to lower the substrate ph. After it's down wait a few hours and check it again. It will have bounce back. If substrate ph us down at start you will thank yourself a lot later. Keep coco 90 to 100 percent saturated at all times. No dry time
