Defoliating fan leaves

Maximum amount of healthy green leaves = maximum energy produced = maximum growth. It is that simple and basic plant biology. Removing leaves just reduces your plants capacity to make energy, thereby slowing growth and leading to potentially smaller growth too. Besides, if your plant did not need those leaves, it would not have grown them in the first place! Cheers, Organoman.

Absolutely you can but only remove leaves that are covering a bud sites and keep it thinned out in the center to allow light to penetrate the middle of the canopy

Not yet, looks healthy. Wait until it gets a bit taller. Tuck them and maybe cut 1 or a few if it gets too bushy to get light and air in.

If its one of them big leaves that's resting on top of the lower leaves you should be good to remove it. Don't go overboard.

Hi there,only defoliate if there is a good reason.Like do some defoliation to lower down tent humidity,to make a good air flow if too bushy.Defoliate some leaves If they are damaged or shaded below the canopy.May be some lollipopping if there are too many popcorn buds underneath.Other than those, shouldn’t do.Those fan leaves are acted like extra sources of energy for plants.Only recommend to defoliate at the start of flowering circle and again at 3rd week of flower or at the end of stretching period.Later that period ,you shouldn’t stress the plant anymore and Defoliation at late flower stage could even lead to hermaphrodism.For me, your plant doesn't need to defo yet.Happy Growing... ✌️
