I do not cut leaves to control humidity. I only remove leaves when they are shading a bud. I control humidity with a fan in the tent for strong air circulation. The the ten's vent fan can be run at different speeds to help get moisture out of the tent. You may find that you need a dehumidifier to get the room's humidity low enough. I like to keep mine around 50% RH and will put domes over small sprouts to give them higher humidity for a few days after sprouting.

Fan and dehumidifier, get and use both. Get your rh down under 50% during flower. Good luck

If you got higher humidity then you should have you can remove some of them hand sized fan leaves, be strategic and make sure anything you pluck reveals leaves below it.
