Hey there Chef! With autoflowering its important to know that the plant will flower when she feels its most advantageous and it doesn't matter on the light cycle. Because of this I suggest extra care when doing any forms of stressing to the plant. Defoliation right now will cause the plant to take energy from its stretch and that is not ideal. I highly suggest weaving the larger fan leaves underneath the new growth nodes to promote most of the growth into the flowering nodes as opposed to defoliation at this stage. :sunglasses:

Hi, Iwould wait a little longer until you se where the budsites/ Flowers are. And then gently tucking a few leaves. You got to remember , that everything you take away, the plant tries to reproduce. And as you are growing automatics , the time is running. You can always tuck disturbing leaves but i wont recommend a defoilation or anything like that.

Defoliation is fine just don’t get overboard strip leaves while in tent so you can see which leaves are blocking bud sites or tops .

Happy growing!!

I would def give her a haircut.. just a small one to let her leaves breath a little bit. She looks great! Happy green and leafy! You are doing a great job!

Wait for the stretch. You'll know more when she starts her upwards journey.

Hello ! Knit your leaves , it will require to be done every 2 days or daily but the stems will get more light and will grow above the fan leaves. So with that method you get more light on the stems, you keep all you leaves for a better photosynthesis and you don't stress the plant at all. I hope it will help you :v::skin-tone-3:

Hi @chef600! Yes I think she can enjoy some more air+light, so go ahead. I usually avoid any kind of pruning/defoliation after the 2nd week of flowering, so the plant can drive all its energy into bud fattening & resin production. In this scenario I would defoliate now and probably for the last time. After a few hours/days of recovery, you should see the side stems exploding. Hope that will help, keep us up-to-date and happy growing :facepunch:

you want to wait another week so she's halfway through her stretch before you defoliate or risk shocking her or worse making her make more leaves. A lot of people defoliate but actually plants are very good at sharing energy correctly throughout the plant, one of the reasons is you can get bigger bud, but actually you're probably better off waiting another few days then seeing which of the flower nodes are going to be too small and pluck them off, so the plant shifts the energy to the large flowers further up the branch - less popcorn bud more fat bud. Hope this helps ! :rocket:
