MH, HPS distance?

So i am reading diaries that are using MH & HPS lights and Seeing a Distance of 10-18 inches from plant. Are people really putting them that close during flowering stage?

ViparSpectra P600 or P1000?I'm just starting with a small setup (40x40x100cm tent), only one small plant at the time, but want to be able to grow proper quality in long-term. I suppose the biggest difference between the two lights is the 930 vs 1006 umol/m2/s? Any advise appreciated!

UV light how to use Does anyone know if I'm supposed to turn the UV light on by itself for 2 hours a day or is it ok to have it come on while my main LED light is on too? It's the AC Infinity U2 UV Ionbeam they were in stock for 4 days a few weeks ago and I got lucky getting one,ty 4 any help

Autoflower light schedule Soon rolling into veg for my first auto grow. Currently on an 18/6 light schedule using Mars Hyrdo II 700w . Don’t have any problems with temp/humidity inside tent. Once you notice the buds starting to flower do you switch to 12/12 or just keep plugging away with 18/6?
