Discolouration on fan leaves

KootsFullAuto
KootsFullAutostarted grow question 3 years ago
Getting a white discolouration on my fan leaves. Thought it was residue from watering with nutrients as sometimes water will land on the leaves. But it doesn’t rub off, some parts look like it’s scratched into the leaf, some parts look almost bleached. But also considering PM?

Looks like a thrips infestation..if you see like tiny fly’s it’s definitely thrips Best way to go is buying some predator mites for the bugs on the plant and nematodes to clean up the larvae in the soil ✌️

Alright I definitely see the correlation to thrips. Going to pick up some sticky traps and safers end all, as that’s what I’ve heard to get. I don’t have flowers yet so I’d imagine im good to go on the safers end all.

That’s not mildew, I’d say thrips or another pest.. I have one plant that had thrips and it’s so hard to spot the little fuckers so they may just be evading your eyes. They are TINY and don’t show themselves often, and I have amazing vision it’s not like I’m blind. Any how I’d start some IPM ASAP

I haven’t noticed any pests at all. It only seems to occur on this one plant. Undersides of leaves look fine, haven’t seen anything that resembles eggs, or webs such as what spider mites will have. Really wasn’t considering pests, but maybe I should grab some beneficial nematodes to be safe?

Spider mites infestation. Check for eggs under the leaves.

Only reason I’m leaning away from PM is that it doesn’t seem powdery, and seems more like discolouration. Some of the random blotches on the leaves look to resemble residue, but doesn’t rub off. I’d imagine when watering with bottled nutrients and some water dries on a leaf that it would cause some sort of residue, no?
