For autos it appears to be best to keep their light schedule constant from start to finish, a bit of intense defol will probably slow them down for 2-4 days depending on how much you removed and how healthy they are overall.

Never heard of that, but it’s not a bad idea.. you just gotta try stuff and see what works for you honestly. That’s the best advice I can give.
I don’t know how they will like being switched to a different schedule if you’re gonna switch it right back a few days later tho.. like I said tho - give it a try!

Defoliating AutosHi I am wondering what you experienced auto growers would do. I am starting to have stretch and a few preflowers showing.
Would you defoliate, if so to what extent. Bottom 10”, upper fans, etc.
On photos I would, but idk with autos and dont want to stunt them too much.

Bigger leaves shading lower branches??As you can see in my last photos (DAY 28) plants are developing lower side branches. Should I get rid off the larger leaves which shade the lower branches?
