Defoliating autos in flower ?

Everybody seems to have different views on this however I personally defoliate mine and have never had a issue as long as they are healthy when you do defoliate and you don't go to mad.

Any big leaves blocking light from other lower growth could go. Just don't go overboard and be strategic with what you take off.

Should I defoliate light-blocking leaves from my NL auto?My NL auto is at D40 and is growing well. She's developing a good lot of cola's with nice bud sites. Check out this long reach, back of tent, 2-in-1 leaf cutter/remover I made. Just a lazy man grabber tool, magnets and razor blade...
I was gonna drill a hole and mini bolt it threw but the grabber came with a magnet. Just added a couple more and it’s strong enough to make cuts.Week 17

Defoliating the auto on the late flowering stageThe canopy is very dense with a huge amount of small leaves I can't tuckle because of their size. It's a deep stage of flowering.
