Is it wise to remove the big leaves that are blocking the light to the flowers?

Hi buddy :-) Never cut something that looks healthy, it is because you are doing a special technique. LST topping fimming etc. When you go into bloom you can remove the lowest weak shoots so that they don't use up unnecessary energy :-). Carry on as before your plant is really beautiful 😍👍

Leave those leaves! Those are some prime solar panels and are really important at this stage! Sometimes I will tuck them just to speed up the growth in the less dominant branches as one of the LST techniques I perform on my plants. I really only remove leaves if they are very unhealthy, or if lower ones are getting blocked but are still contributing to high humidity (they are not photosynthetic but are still transpirating water). If you want to open the plant up you could top it (high stress training) or bend it over a little (low stress training) to break the apical dominance of the main stem. Later on, you can also remove bud sites that are too low under the canopy and would be super airy at harvest. That is really just to prevent energy from being put into growing less prime buds. This is my opinion based on plant biology, and I hope my skepticism of heavy defoliation doesn't offend anyone! Happy growing! 👍🌱

Think you'd be better off bending things... lots of light penetration already... if you can tie the branch ina way that directs it to light, do that instead. yes, in some cases it is useful to remove some foliage... early on you'll likely do as much harm as good. e.g. i jsut butchered my last defoliation. One plant turned out amazing with thick colas stacked along entirity of top branches... and the one i butchered is patchy at best .. it'll be fine, but i didn't help it and likely made it worse. We'll see.. i have a few more days and if it doesn't fill in i screwed myself for no reason other than overzealous behaviour, lol.
