Growing in a uninsulated room next to two external walls. It's gets very cold or hot. Considering insulating the entire room using PIR insulation board that ranges from 50-100mm in thickness. Can anyone share some advice on board thickness/what to use and why. Thank you😊

More insulation is almost always better. My grow room has three exterior walls and they are insulated to R25. Originally it was only insulated to R5 but I had to use a lot of heat in winter. When I increased the insulation to R25 it was immediately noticeable and maintaining temperature in the room got MUCH easier in both summer and winter.

It would be easier to go with HID lighting in a cold space, especially since you have external walls that you can vent the heat out through and a heater, in the room for lights out, to keep the room from getting to cold.
