Hey Cheezy, well that's what it looks like when the trays are flooded, but eventually the water evaporates or gets sucked into the soil and drunk by the plant. HOWEVER ! Right now you've got these seedlings, and the bottom feeding technique is NOT YET suitable for them. That's because their "root mass" isnt very massive yet lol their roots are too small for bottom feeding is what i'm trying to say. So for the first 3-4 weeks you should absolutely top feed , that means watering from the top. When they get established as young plants they'll be able to get bottom fed. Right now if you dont top feed them, they'll dry out and die. Hope this helps ! 🚀

There are advantages and disadvantages to all systems. Unfortunately you need to hand water these young ones until you have more roots for this system to simplify your watering. It's best to transplant into these pots as they are a little older next time around.

@Cheezy_G Hi mate I think I read somewhere on here that the autopot won't let more liquid thru the feed tray until the last remnants of liquid has been absorbed thus allowing a period of aeration between waterings. Hope this helps 😃
