To add to my previous post. To stop feeding and only use PH'd water is not the same as flushing. Dry nutrients take 2-3 weeks to mostly get broken down.

@B_dawg is flushing when they do what they do, its just wasting nutrients if they kept adding them and chop soon.
To me flushing involves producing runoff, diluting the leftover and built up salts/nutrients in the medium, thus lowering their concentrations rapidly.
If you water to the point of no runoff its not a flush i think.
The definition of flush is quite wide though depending who you ask.
The end result of both practices are lower concentration of nutrients in the medium just how fast you get there. cant flush what is not broken down yet.
